One of the most magical experiences we’ve had. Didn’t even appreciate how good good storytelling can be, especially in such a magical setting. One of the best date night experiences you can have in Africa. Thank you!!

I’ve lived in Nairobi for many years and visited the Kenyan coast a lot - this was one of the most memorable evenings.. Mara is so welcoming and her place is fantastic, like a secret hideaway in a magical place, listening to sweet stories and getting served amazing food. It’s hard to find experiences like this anywhere in the world - well done Mara! Can’t wait to go back 😍

The best way to spend an evening in Kilifi. The treehouse is gorgeous, the food is spectacular and plentiful, the visiting bush babies are magical… But you won’t remember any of that once you meet the hostess, she’s mesmerizing. Definitely a highlight!

There was a little confusion about bookings which meant we waited a long time after arriving but we were make to feel very welcome and the setting is just amazing We weren’t able to have the live story telling which was a disappointment but we have live music for a great local musician arranged for us instead which was beautiful The food was lovely. We just had a main course and fruit for pudding which maybe isn’t completely as advertised but still giving 5 stars as the overall experience was just magical and we have a fantastic time

This was my favorite part of visiting Kilifi. Mara is a magical storyteller, the food was delicious, and the other guest (a mix of travelers and locals) made the evening and absolute joy! The view of the sunset over the water was worth it alone. What a magical way to learn of the culture and have great memories to take with me.

Nice view over the creek, relaxing and cozy time with Mara, a very engaged storyteller of stories that stick. Good food, excellent dessert and exciting to feed the bushbabies. A superduper evening!
