Camlik Locomotive Museum

Perfect for families and children, the Çamlık Train Museum is located near the Ancient City of Ephesus on the old İzmir-Aydın Railway line, Türkiye’s first railway. The museum, established in 1997 on the historic 1866 railway, showcases original locomotives, buildings, and railway artifacts. All collections are owned by TCDD (Turkish State Railways), offering a fascinating glimpse into Türkiye’s railway history.

    This tour with SeaDrop Travel was an unexpectedly perfect combination. After taking in the splendor of the Ancient Town of Magnesia, we loved the vintage atmosphere at the Railway Museum. Our guide provided great information in both areas. At the end of the tour, the optional Turkish Bath option allowed us to beat all our exhaust and ended the day with relaxation. It was a well-planned and impeccable organization that catered to diverse interests. Highly recommended for those bored of classic tours!

    I had a great time on the magnesia ancient city, train museum, and optional Turkish bath tour. The ancient city was nice to walk around, and the train museum was more interesting than I expected. I finished the day with the Turkish bath, which was really relaxing. Overall, it was an easy, enjoyable trip and I’m glad I joined.
