Hire a jetski for 60 minutes in Horseshoe Bay, Magnetic Island and have up to 8 riders rotate through! (Depending on weight/age). Jetski Hire Magnetic Island offers unguided freestyle hire inside the largest Jet Ski Hire area in Australia. Please note that Viator will only collect one rider's information, and 'per group' can be up to 8 people.

AGE - The minimum age to be a passenger on a jetski with an adult (18+) is six years old. 16 and 17-year-olds can ride on their own (we do need to sight proof of age, eg. school ID, licence, or passport), but they can NOT ride with another underage passenger. We require a guardian to be present when hiring to complete the rental agreement (including ID and Visa/Mastercard).

WEIGHT - Please note our skis have a weight restriction. This is to protect you and the equipment. The maximum combined weight of 2 people is 160kg. The maximum weight for a single rider is 120kg. These limits are subject to our approval depending on conditions, these limits are in place due to our insurance.

SWIMMING - You need to be able to swim, and you need to be a competent and confident swimmer. By booking, you are confirming you are, and if you are not, you will not be refunded.

ENGLISH - A thorough understanding and use of English is required. Legally we need you to understand our briefing and what our contract contains. If we can not converse with you in English, you will not be allowed to ride. By booking, you confirm you have a good level of English, and if we can not converse with you easily, you will not be refunded.

By booking online, you confirm that you have no pre-existing medical conditions that would affect your hire (bad back, bad eyes, etc.). You also confirm that you are not pregnant and will not be intoxicated (must have a 0 alcohol reading) at the time of riding. Refunds will not be available when failing to confirm the above.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

What To Expect

Hire a jetski for 60 minutes in Horseshoe Bay, Magnetic Island and have up to 8 riders rotate through. All our hires start with a land briefing; this is where you fill out your details, sign our contract and learn all about our area and the commercial laws our skis are governed by. From here, we're ready to head down to the water; we gear you up in life jackets. Once in the water, we touch on the basics of riding, we show you the gears, and then you're climbing aboard. After a quick photo and demo, you're heading into our 2km square hire area. Once you're on the water, our skis must stay inside Horseshoe Bay. The bay is magnificent, framed by granite boulder headlands and a spectacular mountain range, and customers often spot marine animals during their hire. Our skis are commercially registered, and there are laws you need to follow while hiring. These include laws relating to speed limits; all commercial skis in Australia are governed to 30 knots. If you hire multiple Jetskis, you must keep a distance of 200 metres from each other. We promise it is plenty quick enough and the perfect speed to hook turn and check out the bay.
