• 7:00 – Pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter or Ninh Binh (08:00 -08:30). Expect a 3,5 hours drive to Mai Chau. • Arrive in Mai Chau which is considered the capital of the Thai people. Have lunch in the traditional house with specilties of the Northwest mountains. Take a small rest to relax or a quick walk in the narrow alleys to admire the local life. • Start the Cycling tour to discover the beautiful Mai Chau valley. You will pass through fields and villages and get the opportunity to discover more about the unique cultural activities of the White Thai ethnic group. Take a break to visit brocade production facilities made by locals. You are welcome to visit the shops and to buy souvenirs from this unique place. • Your next destination is Chieu Cave also known as the Thousand Steps Cave. From the foot of the mountain, you will climb to reach the mountain’s peak from where you can enjoy the fantastic view of Mai Chau valley.

• 08:00 -08:30 AM: We'll pick you up at your hotel, your guide will pick you up and take you to Lan Village through rice fields and mountains. Visit a Thai household, see silk weaving from cocoon to textile, and try weaving your own silk. • Next, Chieng Lau Village, where you'll witness traditional farming practices and the ancient waterwheels in action. • 10:00 AM: Set out on a scenic 4km trek from Chieng Lau to Cham Stream. Along the way, stop at a traditional local house to experience genuine hospitality and immerse yourself in the region's culture. • 10:45 AM: Arrive at Cham Stream for a Bamboo rafting adventure. Relax as you float through lush forests, rice fields, and charming villages. (Bring a swimsuit and towel). • 11:30 AM: Enjoy a delicious lunch on the boat • Next, Hieu Waterfall - Relax at this serene waterfall, a perfect retreat. • Conclude your day exploring the local landscape, including rice paddies and streams, before returning to Hotel in Pu Luong by 16:00 PM.

• 08:00 – 08:30: We'll pick you up at your hotel and head to the Bamboo Bridge over the Ma River. Enjoy scenic views and see local artisans at work. • Cross the bridge and cycle through Chieng Ai Village. Visit local families, learn about rice wine production, and taste homemade rice wine. Explore a traditional home, hear historical stories, and join a Cooking class to enjoy a family-prepared meal. • After lunch, relax before the natural BMW experience, the buffalo cart ride. The buffalo, a cherished member of the host family, will take you to where the car awaits, sharing the region's culture and hospitality. • 13h00 – 13h30: Say goodbye to the fabulous Pu Luong Nature Reserve and Take the bus back to Ha Noi or Ninh Bình. • 18h30 – 19h00: Arrival at your Hotel in Ha Noi. 17h00 – 17h30: Arrival at your Hotel in Ninh Binh.

This was a very memorable and very good experience Nga Was very knowledgeable and took us to places which we would never have been able to go without her The final day with her cooking lesson and the older couple who let us have a meal at their home was extra special .

Superb excursion that plunges us into rural Vietnam with landscapes and population. The activities offered allowed us to spend time with locals and share their lifestyle. Our guide Felix was very attentive and provided us with many explanations embellished with anecdotes. We recommend this tour.

The guides were very nice and very enthusiastic and we loved that and they were always super kind and willing to take a picture of us and with us. And they were always open to questions. The views were very beautiful and we all enjoyed it very much!!. We don’t have any complains.

The Mai Chau and Pu Luong trip was fantastic! We had Vinh as our tour guide on day one in Mai Chau. Vinh was very knowledgeable of the area and as a local he spoke about the process of farming in detail. The 1000 step cave was a highlight. Be prepared for a hard climb up the side of the mountain, well worth the climb to see the cave. Day two and three in Pu Luong was fabulous. Nga was our guide and she was so much fun and took us into the villages and farmers homes. She had great relationships with the community which made our interactions enjoyable. The cooking class at the farmers house was a highlight, Nga will take you to the local market where you can pick up extra ingredients to cook, like silk worm larvae and stone snails. The waterfalls are refreshing and swimming with the local communities is really enjoyable. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to really embrace the local Vietnamese culture and cuisine. The area is tranquil and the local people so kind and genuine.

Mai Chau is a true haven of peace in Vietnam, surrounded by green rice fields and mountains. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, this village offers an authentic immersion in the culture of ethnic minorities, especially white Thais. The welcome is warm, the beautiful landscapes and bike or foot rides allow you to discover the natural beauty and local life. An ideal destination for lovers of nature and tranquility.
