What To Expect
Ahu Akahanga
The tour begins with AHU AKAHANGA, an area of lying moais and legends that say that the first king of the island was buried here.
Rano Raraku
Continue the adventure by visiting RANO RARAKU, the sacred place where most of these stone giants were sculpted, and learn about the enigmas behind the transfer of these imposing masses to other parts of the island.

5.00Our full day tour of the Akahanga, Rano Raraku, Ahu Tongariki, Te Pito Kura, Ahu Nau Nau & Anakena Beach with Maururu Travel Tour’s Messrs. Nicholas & Mauricio was excellent👏!Nicho explained different features of each site, shared each’s history and answered questions in English and Spanish. To be fair, he alternated speaking in Spanish first or English first. He took pictures of the four couples and a family in our group at different attractions. Their brown bag lunch had a hefty & tasty chicken salad sandwich with tomatoes, cucumber and lettuce, two boiled eggs, a Rapa Nui banana, bag of Rapa Nui peanuts, a granola bar, bottle of water and a local non-alcoholic beer.

5.00We had a wonderful day exploring historical sites on the beautiful island of Rapa Nui (aka Easter Island). Our guide Maitu was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging and we learned all about the culture and legend of the Rapa Nui people. We visited a number of sites around the island where the Moai were carved from rock and relocated around the island. Fascinating history and interesting stories of the Polynesian culture that date back hundreds of years. I highly recommend this tour when visiting Easter Island.

5.00After some confusion about my trip going ahead , our guide arrived on time at 9am. The tour was called “ Majestic Monuments and Paradise” , a full day excursion including a visit to the lovely beach with live music & lunch provided. I would recommend this tour.

5.00We were a big group of 8 adults and 1 child. The tour is wounderful, the programm has all the main and most remarkable sights of the island. The guide came in time and he was very patient and intertaining. He even caught a sea urchin for us. We enjoed it very much!
