Lindos

Lindos is one of the most impressive archaeological sites not only in Greece but also in the world. It has traces of different civilizations. Ancient Greek, Roman, and Byzantine traditions blend here with the Medieval heritage of knights of the Order of Saint John. The visit to Lindos is like time travel via centuries and civilizations! If you go there, you will be delighted not only by the history but also by divine beauty. Take your time strolling the lovely narrow streets of the village abundantly decorated with flowers, fruit trees, oriental tiles, and small fountains. You will be impressed by the incredible view of the harbours. The Acropolis of Lindos is on top of a 116m cliff. For the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Knights of St John, and Turks it was a wonderful strategic position. You can walk up the stairs and visit it or explore the village and its cozy bays.

Our guide Joanna was excellent. She gave us so much background and history about the areas we stopped at and drove by. She also helped all of us get to the top on the Acropolis at Lindos. She went out of her way to make sure everyone got back to the bus safely. Also the bus driver was great too.

Didn’t realize that we were in a big bus with lots of people! Made a lot of tourist stops that were unnecessary!! Basically transportation to Experience Lindo

Joanna did a great job with our 15-20 tour group. She was very knowledgeable and has a fantastic sense of humor. Her language skills were also excellent. I highly recommend her.

The truck was very small, which made it very uncomfortable, so much so that some of the passengers left the tour in Lindos. Apart from air conditioner leaks in one place and a backrest not returning.

I recently took a tour of Rhodes with a large group of family and it was nothing short of spectacular! From start to finish, the experience was flawless. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the island's rich history, which made every stop even more interesting. The itinerary was perfectly crafted, covering all the key sights and hidden gems. The highlight for me was definitely the Acropolis of Lindos – the views were absolutely breathtaking, and the history behind the site is truly fascinating. Standing at the top and looking out over the coast was a moment I'll never forget! The driver was fantastic as well – smooth, safe, and punctual, which made the whole journey that much more enjoyable. Whether you’re a history buff, a lover of stunning views, or just want to experience the best of Rhodes, I highly recommend this tour. It was a seamless day filled with unforgettable moments! Would definitely do this again if I return to Rhodes. Highly recommend!

10 out of 10 for this excellent, well-organized and highly recommended guided tour of Rhodes/Lindos. The coach was really comfortable and the journey was pleasant. Our guide Stefania knew the history and the culture of Rhodes which she shared with us in an engaging manner. Views from the Acropolis were worth the climb.

I would give 10 stars for this tour if I could, if you’re looking for an expert, fun and well organised tour of Rhodes please do not hestitate to book this tour. We had a wonderful time on this tour, we were 3 generations of family travelling together on my father’s 70th birthday and after extensive research we chose this tour. The tour was fantastic, our guide Stefania was local to Rhodes and extremely knowledgeable. This tour was efficient and extremely well organised. We learnt a lot about the history of Rhodes, the wine tasting was at an excellent local restaurant with fantastic food, we tried local honey and olive oil which was wonderful, we had the opportunity to learn about local Pottery, we took in breathtaking views and had many opportunities to take memorable photos. We visited the Acropolis of Lindos, took in the beautiful sights and history of Lindos, traveled to the old city, learned about local culture and history. Thank you to Alexis and his team at the travel company for helping put this trip together, we had a wonderful time and made lasting memories.

Stefania was our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and managed to keep us informed with local history during the journey. The coach was clean and air conditioned. It was a great tour and I would certainly recommend for families.

The tour was very good and I learnt a lot as a result. Our guide, Steffi, was brilliant. More time in the Old Town and Medieval Town would have been appreciated as this did feel a little rushed.
