Meet at a traditional hanko shop in central Tokyo. Begin with a short introduction about the history and cultural importance of hanko (Japanese name seals), and learn how they are still used in daily life. Next, based on your name, interests, and preferences, decide which kanji characters to use and create your own original design. With support from the shop staff, try carving your hanko by hand. No prior experience is needed—the process is beginner-friendly and safe, with expert assistance provided throughout.
