Your journey begins in the heart of the Gay Village, surrounded by the iconic canal-side bars and rainbow flags that symbolize Manchester’s proud spirit of inclusivity. Kick off the tour in true British style with a classic English Breakfast — a hearty plate of eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, and buttered toast. As your guide introduces the tour, enjoy a freshly brewed coffee or a morning tea, and learn about the city’s fascinating history of resilience, creativity, and community.
Northern Quarter
After a short stroll into the Northern Quarter, the beating heart of Manchester’s indie culture, you’ll discover a hub of street art, vintage shops, and music heritage. Here, the city’s food scene comes alive with global influences — from Asian-inspired wraps to Middle Eastern bites and Local Delicacies. At this stop, you’ll sample either of two local favorites: The Manchester Egg — a modern twist on the Scotch egg, featuring a pickled egg wrapped in pork sausage and black pudding, deep-fried to golden perfection. It’s tangy, savory, and unmistakably Mancunian. Fragrant Indian Curry - simmered with aromatic spices and served with fluffy rice. Whether it’s a creamy tikka masala, a spicy madras, or a vegan dhal, each dish tells the story of Manchester’s global connections and community spirit.
Water is served in alternative to the Soft Drink at the second stop.
A Can of a soft drink is included in the street food stop / curry stop.
A local street food dish or Indian Curry will be given at the second stop depending on availability and venue chosen for the day.
Either A Traditional Meat/Vegetarian Pie or Fish & Chips + a Pint of Beer (remember that the British Pint is larger than other countries' pints!)
Coffee or Tea will be server per person in joint to the English Breakfast at our first stop
One final drink is included, half a pint of local ale or crisp cider.
A Full English Breakfast will be served every two people (not to fill you up at the first stop)
If you believe the Local Expert did a good job and you loved the food & drinks, consider giving them a Tip (it's not compulsory).

What a brilliant food tour! This experience provided far more than just great eats — it gave us a deeper appreciation for Manchester’s character and community. The guide did an excellent job balancing history with tasting stops, and the group atmosphere was warm and engaging throughout. Every dish was a delight and the accompanying drinks added a lovely touch. My wife's and my personal favourite dish was definitely the curry! I would not have ever found the spot and OMG it was amazing! We came away with new favourite spots in the city and excellent recommendations for further venues to eat at in Manchester.

Absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish! The tour seamlessly combined Manchester’s rich culinary scene with insight into the local culture and history. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and welcoming, introducing us to hidden gems in the Northern Quarter and Gay Village that we never would have found on our own. The food and drinks at each stop were plentiful, diverse, and delicious — from classic local bites to innovative takes on Mancunian favorites. This was one of the most memorable food tours we’ve taken in the UK and we highly recommend it to both visitors and locals alike. Great value and fantastic hospitality throughout.
