What To Expect
This is an excellent tour for all ages, including singles and families. First, we explore the Al Thakira nature reserve, an hour away from Doha. Then, during low tides, we head out to the mangrove bay and explore a large channel several kilometers from our launch site under good conditions. During higher tides, we navigate different winding channels of the Al Thakira mangroves, taking in views of wildlife, including reef egrets, terns, herons, and the occasional jumping fish. Finally, we usually stop at the local beach to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

5.00It was genuinely a breath of fresh air. The serene beauty of the mangroves and the peaceful vibe of the Al Thakira Reserve make it an oasis in the desert. Kayaking through those calm waters, surrounded by the mangrove trees and the occasional glimpse of wildlife, was like therapy for the soul. The guide was super knowledgeable and friendly, adding to the experience. However, it's a short one-hour ride, and if you're expecting an adrenaline rush, this might not be it. But if you're all about reconnecting with nature and escaping the hustle and bustle for a while, it's absolutely worth it. Just remember some bug spray – those little critters can be quite persistent!
