We did a self-guided tour and honestly was one of our best experiences on St. Thomas. We showed up around 11am (but you could go as early as 8am). There is a little parking lot, changing rooms, and little lockers. The manager for the day set up our kayaks, gave us life jackets, and a map with instructions on where to go. She went over pretty detailed instructions, and mentioned that if we have any questions, we can ask any of the tour guide that we’re out there. We had our own snorkeling stuff, but they would give you some if you don’t. We kayaked to Cas Cay (took about 30mins), then pulled our kayaks up on the beach. There is a hike you can take which apparently has beautiful views. We went about a quarter mile of the way, but didn’t bring the proper shoes to continue (would recommend bringing sneakers with you if you’d like to hike). The island is infested with hermit crabs which is pretty cool, but you have to watch your step. We spent a few hours snorkeling around the island, and saw some really cool fish. We spent about 3/4 hours out there, but could’ve spent longer. I’d recommend bringing a lot of water bottles (they have if you forgot) and some snacks if you want to stay out there for a while. Also would recommend a hat and a drawstring bag.

We would booked very last minute same day as the cruise came in. I text them and Sybille contacted me straight away and spoke to me on the phone and went through everything and also directions where to meet the pick up point. Sybille was extremely helpful Our driver was Melvin he was so friendly and we kept asking him all about the island and he was happy to tell us. When we got to the kayaking Melvin also helped us with a map and a kayak as well which was good and gave us some useful info as we wasn’t sure what we needed to do for the kayaking and afterwards was there for us at the end to take us back to the ship. Such an interesting person and very helpful. Both are a credit to the company. Thank you to both very much for making our day go smoothly and enjoyable. Caroline
