5.00We had so much fun doing this food tour, all thanks to our awesome guide, Jace, who explained everything and had some pretty interesting facts about a lot of things. Highly recommend going on this tour with an empty stomach as you would get filled pretty quickly. Even til the end just when you think you’ve had enough food, there’s still more things to savor. So definitely leave some space for the ending banger!

5.00We joined the Manila Meals Food Tour and honestly didn’t expect to eat so much or learn so much in one afternoon. From the first stop to the last, every tasting felt thoughtfully chosen and truly local, never touristy. We tried more than 15 dishes, and each one came with a story explaining where it came from and why it matters in Filipino food culture. What really stood out was the balance. There were familiar comfort dishes, surprising flavors we’d never tried before, and a pace that left us happily full without feeling rushed. Our guide was knowledgeable, easy to chat with, and genuinely passionate about Binondo’s food scene. It felt more like being shown around by a local friend than joining a scripted tour. The route added a lot to the experience too. You’re not just eating, you’re exploring parts of Manila you might not otherwise see, and the food makes perfect sense in the context of the neighborhoods you visit. By the end, we had a much deeper appreciation of Filipino cuisine beyond what you usually see on menus. If you’re visiting Manila and want an experience that’s both filling and meaningful, this tour is absolutely worth it. Come hungry and curious. You’ll leave with a full stomach and a new love for Filipino food. Special shoutout to Jace from A Chef’s Tour, he was awesome and made the whole experience even better.
