We had an excellent vanilla and spice tour that was both enjoyable and highly informative. The guide provided great insight into the impressive variety of spices grown on site, including vanilla, cardamom, cocoa, and cinnamon. It was fascinating to learn about the different cultivation methods, particularly the strong emphasis on organic polyculture and sustainable farming practices. The tasting session at the end was a real highlight – a wonderful opportunity to sample the flavors and truly appreciate the quality of the spices. The only disappointment was the shop. The product range was quite limited, and the prices felt very expensive compared to what we expected. That aside, the tour itself was a fantastic experience and well worth doing.

We learned so much about vanilla, cacao, and spice growing and production! Chris was an amazing guide through this delicious experience. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and are interested to learn where and how all these treats come to be.

We had a really nice time on this tour learning about vanilla and cacao and all the spices grown on this beautiful farm. Our guide was great and allowed time for us to see, touch and taste almost everything! Nice walk about the property. As an added bonus we saw a very rare ghost bat hanging from a palm frond! Also saw a purple crowned fairy hummingbird. The outdoor pavilion overlook and the ice cream flight and chocolate cake — a treat for sure! The gift shop at the end was well stocked. We have a greater appreciation for the painstaking task of making organic vanilla extract now! Great tour! Would definitely recommend especially if you are a foodie or love to cook/bake. But just the natural setting was a wonderful outing.

Our guide Joyce was very professional; we learned about dozens of different spices - how they grow, look, test etc. Ice cream at the middle of the tour was delicious, the part devoted to cacao and chocolate (including dark chocolate test) was just a perfect finish of the tour. At the end we stopped at the small gift shop and purchased some unique chocolate and local spices.

Phenomenal tour of a cute little spice farm! We had such a great time learning about the different spices, seeing how they're grown, and learning about the process. And, most importantly, tasting delicious treats (including ice cream) made with the spices. The have a great gift shop at the end, too. Well worth the time!

Very best tour !! Well worth the price! One of the best value! As so much of Costa Rica is now overpriced!

Incredible tour, so much information about the plants on the farm, tasting bits as we went which was super interactive. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. The ice cream and biscuits we tried in our break were really divine, my favourite was the chai ice cream. The shop sells some really lovely spices, chocolates and other bits as great souvenirs.
