What To Expect
A one day practical Peak District Navigation Course geared to giving you a taste of the skills you need to get out exploring the tracks and trails of the UK. Aimed at beginners wanting to start self-guided walks in the hills, our Right Way In A Day Navigation Course offers a good introduction to the fundamentals of navigation. Based at our training facility, The Adventure Hub - in the heart of the Peak District, you will be perfectly situated to launch into the beautiful hills and moorland where you will spend the majority of your day. You will develop knowledge in the theory and use of maps, grid references, scales and rights of way and all the practical tools for navigation including the use of a compass to set the map and check direction.

5.00Excellent 2 Day Navigation Course (NNAS) Bronze with Pure Outdoor..Having not really touched a compass for nearly 40yrs and since retiring doing a lot more walking was time to update the navigation skills. Great tuition from instructor Rick for the two days at exactly the right level and making it a enjoyable weekend with classroom input going over maps/Kit etc and walking right on the doorstep to put into practice.. Great facilities at the Adventure Hub with free tea and coffee and great communication pre and post course with plenty of parking.. Would definitely recommend Pure Outdoor and instructor Rick if your considering this course or other course/activities offered…I will be looking at the next level silver…..

5.00i recently did the NNAS bronze course, thoroughly enjoyed the two days and rick is an excellent instructor and i will be looking to book the NNAS silver course in the near future. i highly reccomend anyone who wants to learn to use a map/compass, the skills will come in handy for my future hikes.

5.00An amazing day out hiking in the beautiful hills of the Peak District. This course is excellent for those who want to learn the basics of navigation or just refresh skills that have long been forgotten. The teaching was very easy to understand, covered all the basics you would need to be able to navigate yourself around various locations and under different circumstances, along with lots of practical exercises to enhance your learning. Paul, our instructor, was amazing and a very knowledgeable and skilled teacher. He made the day not only extremely informative but also great fun!!!👍👍👏👏 I would definitely recommend PureOutdoors to anybody wishing to improve their skills of being in the outdoors.
