5.00Had an excellent full day tour of the Maramureş region with Andrei. He was highly knowledgeable about the region, culture and traditions of this special area. I wouldn’t hesitate to book him again or recommend to a friend. He has excellent English and makes you feel at ease during the tour. A 10/10 day in the Maramureş region.

5.00This was one of the best tours we took in our 4 weeks in Europe. Ioana was very personable, friendly and was a wealth of knowledge. She shared many insights not only about things on the tour but living in Romania as well. Our lunch was fantastic at a local inn. I don't have enough positive adjectives in my vocabulary to describe how great this tour was. Merry Cemetery was so unique and we even got to meet the family who creates to tombstone.

5.00We had a family summer camp organised by Radu and his colleagues and as part of the activities, he showed us the best landmarks of Maramureș region with visits to the merry cemetery, a walk in the forest around the village of Breb and some artisans from the community. The explanations were really beautiful and adapted for both children and adults. He also took us to a local restaurant and we had a lovely lunch - our kids loved the soup! We definitely recommend this tour and their services if you want to experience the authentic rural Maramureș!

5.00Good tour. The guide picked us up at the hostel and adapted the explanations to the hostel's buildings. He provided an introduction for the area to link the different spots to visit. He also knew very locals who showed us how they live and work. No much walking and also responded to all our questions. He also has good english. All in all, good experience!

5.00Transportation in the Maramures region is not very convenient, so I felt the need to hire a guide, and so I applied for this tour. We visited many spots, and along the way, the guide told us many stories about history and culture. He was very friendly and polite. Also, when I told him my desired places to stop, he stopped and suggested additional local spots. It was a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, it was the New Year's holiday season, so I was unable to meet the weaving artisans shown in the photos. Although this was unavoidable, it was the number one reason I applied for this tour, so if I had known in advance, I would not have participated. Although this is a special case, there are times like this, so I recommend that you be careful about the time you apply and inquire in advance about any concerns you may have.

5.00The Merry Cemetry including visiting the craftsman. Followed by lunch in Breb and the visit whirlpool carpet washing. Above all stands Ioana, our guide. We learnd so much from her and she didn't get tired of our questions.

5.00Excellent overview of the Maramures areas described. Everything was very personally tailored. I could stop if I saw something interesting, spend time where I would like. I would even do the whole tour again just to spend even more time in Breb, visit Desist during mass hours, same with Sapanta, and walk closer to the tallest wooden church near the Merry Cemetery. My day ended in Barsana so I was able to spend quite a bit of time enjoying the beautiful music of the Christmas mass. An astounding unforgettable day and Radu is just the guide you need to see everything you want to see and learn about where you and and where he is taking. you. I'm glad I was able to fill up my Christmas Day with such an amazing journey though I'm looking forward to more adventures with Radu when the streets are less slushy! I saw much more than I had imagined, and will definitely look Radu up for further adventures.

5.00What a fantastic day with Radu - very friendly, knowledgeable, professional, punctual guide (and a good driver as well!). The tour itself was amazing and the churches and countryside so beautiful. We had a delicious lunch too. Would definitely recommend this tour with Radu, the area of Romania is a must see.
