Discover the true essence of Italian cuisine with our intimate cooking class at Tenuta OroVerde, led by Maria. Our class offers a hands-on experience where you’ll learn to create some of the most beloved traditional dishes. Together, we’ll prepare a special second course, Graffe (Italian doughnuts), fresh pasta including Ravioli, and Eggplant Rolls.
With a maximum of 6 participants, this small group setting ensures personalized attention and a cozy, friendly atmosphere. After cooking, sit down to enjoy the meal you’ve created, surrounded by the stunning views of the Amalfi Coast.

Mi chiamo Maria e abito in un piccolo paesino della penisola sorrentina, la mia casa si trova in mezzo al verde dove a svegliarci la mattina sono il gallo, guardiano delle mie galline e vari uccelli che si poggiano sulla staccionata della mia casa, insieme alla mia famiglia coltiviamo il nostro terreno (Tenuta oro verde) producendo ortaggi freschi e ortaggi per conserve da consumare in inverno. Ho ereditato il piacere di cucinare da mia nonna paterna, anch'essa di nome Maria, grande cuoca e buongustaia, mi ha insegnato a lavorare la pasta fresca secondo antiche ricette, l importanza delle materie prime di qualità, mi ha trasmesso l importanza di riunirsi a tavola, mi ha lasciato in eredità il suo ricettario. Dopo aver assimilato tutto ciò, col tempo cucinare per me è diventato un modo di avvicinare le persone, amici, vicini di casa o parenti e condividere con loro una cosa preziosa chiamata "tempo" Ed ora eccomi qua con "Mari' cooking class" in onore di mia nonna Maria per poter trasmettere un pezzetto della mia eredita' e del mio entusiasmo ad ognuno di voi ... sperando di cuore che possiate trascorrere una bellissima giornata ...vi aspetto

Mari was warm, friendly, knowledgeable and made everyone feel welcome from the moment we arrived. This was the highlight of our trip. The class was hands-on, well organized and gave us a genuine appreciation for the local cuisine and traditions behind the dishes. Sharing the meal together was another memorable moment. I'm so glad we signed up for this cooking class. Mari is the nicest person I've ever met. We had such a great time at her home. She made us feel welcome and we left feeling like good friends. I would highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Sorrento.

What an amazing experience today! My mother and daughters said it a once in a lifetime day! Maria made it so special welcoming us into her home and garden. She takes great pride in explaining each step. Everything is grown on her own land. We cooked then enjoyed the food we made along with homemade wine and lemocello.

Mari personally picked us up at our hotel and drove us to her beautiful home. The home is quaint and filled with flowers and charming country decor. She is personable and taught us how to prepare a delicious Italian meal. We cooked in her kitchen. Cleanliness was a priority everyone had to wash their hands before touching anything. I highly recommend this fun adventure.

Mari's cooking class was the highlight of our whole trip. My husband and I were picked up from our hotel and when we arrived we were blown away by the beautiful garden and scenery. We had a warm friendly welcome from Mari and were made to feel at home. She talked us through different areas of her family home and the surrounding area. We were joined by another 2 couples for the class; from Canada and Texas. It was lovely getting to know each other, hearing stories from different parts of the world. Just as we started the class, Mari's 7 year old son, Mateo came to meet us. He was adorable and participated in the whole class. We made caprese cake, ravioli, lemon meatballs, stuffed zucchini and fried calzoni. Mari demonstrated and advised us throughout the class; we had so much fun and laughed all day. The food and the company were amazing. Thank you so much Mari, we cannot wait to try these recipes at home

We joined Marì for a Farmhouse Cooking class. She has an incredible view on the Sorrento Coast and we cooked a 4 course luncheon together. Marì served us Bruschetta on arrival with prosecco and then we made our dessert, Caprese Cake, followed by Fried Calzoni, Ravioli Caprese, Lemon Meatballs and a Eggplant Boat dish. At the end Mari have us a copy of all the recipes and a little gift. 🎁 She shared her family's cooking experience in addition to her home made olive oil, red wine, limoncello, free range eggs and tomato sauce as well as fresh produce picked from the garden. Marì was a generous person and a talented chef. We look forward to reproducing the recipes.

We had an incredible Italian cooking class featuring homemade ravioli, Sorrento calzone, meatballs, stuffed eggplant, and a flourless almond chocolate cake. In addition to the wonderful food, we enjoyed learning more about the family farm and home, which offered truly breathtaking panoramic views. It was especially special to cook with ingredients straight from her farm, including fresh tomatoes, olive oil, and eggplant. The experience was warm, memorable, and full of charm

This was probably the best thing we did in our 7 days in the region! Mari was so sweet and welcoming of us into her home! Everything we made was well instructed and soooo good! We shared the day with 4 others, so there were 6 of us total and they were all fantastic! We enjoyed meeting and sharing the time with them!

Mari was very warm and welcoming! She provided a wonderful experience for us using fresh homegrown and local ingredients. She was patient and helpful with teaching us cooking techniques. We loved the beautiful space and surrounding gardens. It was a perfect setting with a stunning view of the sea. Mari made the experience truly memorable, as she beautifully decorated the cake we made to celebrate a special birthday. The transportation that was provided made it convenient to travel to the location. The food was delicious and the host was a very skilled chef and created an amazing experience we will never forget!

This cooking class was perfect. It was very authentic, set on Marí’s beautiful family farm. Marí is an exceptionally warm and welcoming host, and you can feel how passionate she is about her farm (fresh ingredients) and cooking. It was a day we will remember for the rest of our lives!
