To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, participants must be able to enter and exit our vans unassisted, using steps and grab rails. If this basic requirement cannot be met at the start of the tour, our guides reserve the right to decline participation. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.
What To Expect
Enjoy a scenic drive over the Remutaka Ranges including a short stop at the Summit before descending into the Wairarapa region. The first tasting stop is at C'est Cheese in Featherston for a range of fantastic local and imported cheeses and gourmet foods. Next enjoy a winemaker led vineyard tour learn the step by step process from vine to wine followed by a wine tasting tapas style lunch in the Cellar Door. Next stop is a craft beer tasting paddle at Martinborough Brewery. These paddles consist of your choice of any 4 of the 8 taps on offer. Our next tasting stop allows you to wander amongst the oldest olive trees in Martinborough, learning about the different olive varieties and what happens throughout the olive year. Progress to the tasting room where you will learn how to taste olive oil like a professional, and how to use extra virgin olive oil and the full range of infused oils in quick, easy and spectacular recipes. The final stop includes a visit to Schoc Chocolates for a tasting of their amazing products. Please note specific activity partners may differ from advertised as they are subject to availability.

5.00Had a wonderful tour around Martinborough sampling local food and drink with a trip to 2 vineyards (Poppys and Blue Earth), a taproom, cheese shop and a local chocolate shop with a game of guessing the flavour. It was a great addition to our honeymoon and we even bought some cheese, wine and chocolate on the tour for later on our honeymoon. We even got to do an olive oil tasting which we had never done before and it was interesting tasting the different blends and qualities of oil. Just don't be persuaded to try an olive of the trees, they are very bitter and do not taste how you would expect. The local guide was very knowledgeable about the area and could answer any questions we had as well as being really friendly.

5.00We had a wonderful day thanks to Gary our tour guide. He gave us a detailed history about the different locations we passed through. Explained the background of the wineries before we got there. He was very warm and friendly and a very safe driver. Highly recommend the tour, and enjoyable well spent day.

5.00This was an amazing tour. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the drive out to Martinborough fly by. The food, wine and olive oil were fantastic and complemented by the amazing landscape. We had a fab time, learning about Martinborough and its history.

5.00This was a great experience. This was touring and discovering the area. A local cheeserie. Walking through a family owned vineyard talking to the vintner about all things wine, tasting the grapes off the vine if the time is right. A fabulous lunch. Then walking through an olive grove talking to the owner about all things olives and farming. Wine tasting, a brewery for the boys if needed and some chocolate to finish. Our guide Phil has been doing this for 15 years and has a great knowledge of the area and relationships with the people we visited. Something for people who want to know more about the places they visit.

5.00My friend and i enjoyed an excellent day with Phil from zozo tours exploring the Martinborough region … we were taken to a cheese shop first of all with a delicious array of cheese mostly made on the premises … next was a vineyard for wine tasting and delicious food … after lunch it was off to a very small vineyard and olive trees .. Margaret , the owner of the property was very knowledgeable and she and her husband built this very successful wine and speciality olive oil business over the 29 years they had been on the property … to finish off the day our senses were put to the test with a blindfold chocolate test tasting and naming 12 or more speciality chocolates … it was an excellent way to finish the day …. Highly recommended … thank you Phil

The lunch that was included was in a beautiful setting, delicious and with wines to match the food made it a memorable day out. Absolutely recommend this tour.

5.00We had a great tour with Phil this week. He was born and raised in the Wellington area and answered all of our questions about the area, including about the Martinborough wine region and industry. The producers we visited were passionate about their products, particularly Poppy (wine) and Margaret (olive oil), who gave us a fun and engaging explanation of their journeys and their products. Our vineyard lunch was especially tasty, and the scenery crossing the from the mountains into the valley was quite pretty. My impression is that ZoZo is serious about providing authentic Wellington-area experiences in a fun and laid back way. I definitely recommend them.

5.00Our guide,Phil, was excellent. Very attentive and knowledgeable. Great interactions. Vineyard and olive grove owners were very personable and handled questions very well. Wine tasting at Poppies was worth the trip.
