Matrenu Waterfall was a refreshing escape, and pairing it with a coffee tour made the day really special for us & a big thank Kili Slope Tours. When we reached the waterfall, the sound and cool air immediately washed away the heat of the day. We spent time taking photos and just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The coffee experience that followed was equally rewarding. Our guide Bryson walked us through every step, letting us touch the beans, smell the roast, and even try grinding them by hand. The final tasting was the highlight, the flavor was rich, smooth, and unlike anything from a typical cafe. What stood out most was the warmth of the people and the simplicity of the entire experience. We felt peaceful and heartfelt

We recently took our relaxed day trip with Kili Slope Tours. The day began with our professional guide Shuma and a quiet walk through the cool mountain air and lush rainforest. The path took us past small farms and village paths to the legendary Materuni waterfalls. We braved the cold pools long enough to feel refreshed. After the hike, the Chaga cultural tour offered a warm and authentic experience. We tasted their banana beer, learned how to roast local coffee over the fire, and even helped grind the beans while singing with the hosts. Lunch in the shade of the trees was the perfect break. Finally we went to the Kikuletwa thermal springs, where turquoise water washed around us. The little fish that bit our feet made the moment an unforgettable experience. It was a great mix of culture, nature and relaxation.

Our Materuni adventure was perfect with Kili Slope Tours and Safaris, was culture, scenery, and relaxation. We started early, driving toward the foothills of Kilimanjaro, and the closer we got, the greener and more vibrant the surroundings became. The hike through Materuni village felt refreshing, with beautiful forest views and the sound of birds everywhere. Learning about the Chagga people gave the day a meaningful touch. We tasted their home-brewed banana beer and participated in the traditional coffee-making steps-roasting, grinding, and finally sipping the freshest cup imaginable. The Kili Slope team made the whole experience unforgettable. Truly an incredible day out.

Our visit to Materuni Waterfall, the Coffee Tour, and Chemka Hot Springs gave us everything we could ask for - nature, culture, and relaxation. The waterfall hike was short but rewarding, filled with stunning mountain views and friendly locals. Standing near the falls, hearing the rushing water, felt so calming. The coffee experience that followed was both educational and entertaining. Our day planner was the Kili Slope Tours, they were kind and funny. We saw all the process making coffee. The smell of roasted beans filled the air, and the first sip of the coffee was unforgettable. We ended the day at Chemka Hot Springs, where the water was so clear we could see every pebble below. It was warm, soothing, and surrounded by lush trees.

This tour to Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Village, and Chemka Hot Springs was one of the best experiences of our trip to Tanzania with Kili Slope Tours and Safaris. We started with a scenic hike through banana and coffee farms toward Materuni Falls - the tallest in the region. The waterfall was absolutely stunning; the sound alone was calming. Then we went for the coffee tour with a local family, who made the experience so interactive and joyful. We swam, relaxed, and even swung from a rope into the water. It was the perfect way to end the day. This combination of nature, culture, and fun made it an fantastic experience.

My husband and I were lucky to have Kili Slope Tours allocate us Stewart as our Driver/Safari Guide. We also were very fortunate to have booked days when they had no other clients to fill the Safari vehicle, consequently we got a private tour for the price of a standard one. With hindsight we would now recommend people to book private tours, as in future this would always be our choice. The extra space in the vehicle and the flexibility to start and finish the day at our pace was a great advantage and well worth the extra expense! Stewart was a superb guide, his knowledge of all the animals and birds was incredible! He was patient, accommodating and very good company throughout the journey, providing a great service. Best of all were his ‘spotting’ abilities… we saw things we never imagined we would ever see! Thank you once again Stewart, you made our trip unforgettable.
