My Mayan culture tour with Wilson was amazing! I learned so much and had a lot of fun. Wilson is an awesome person, and I feel like I had a new friend. 🤗 I really appreciate that he did the tour with just one person, me, even when he was traveling that afternoon. I wish I would have not have waited until my last day, because I think the rest of my time in Guatemala would have been more interesting that I known more about Mayan culture. I 100% recommend doing this tour with Wilson!

If you want to truly understand the heart of Guatemala, making Wilson’s tour your very first stop in Antigua is a absolute must! Far beyond a simple sightseeing walk, Wilson provides a masterclass in the enduring legacy of the Maya. His narrative offers a profound historical and anthropological framework that doesn't just explain the past, it illuminates the present. Through his guidance, you begin to see that the Mayan spirit is not a relic of a bygone era, but a vibrant, living pulse that informs the architecture, the markets, and the social fabric of modern Guatemala. Wilson possesses that rare gift of a true educator: the ability to foster a deep, compassionate connection between his guests and the local culture. After a few hours in his company, your perspective shifts and you start to notice the intricate Mayan influence around every corner, from the symbolism in a textile to the quiet strength of the people. This tour didn’t just inform me, it inspired a genuine affection for the resilient culture and warm-hearted people of this beautiful country. It is, quite simply, a transformative experience that will enhance your entire journey through Guatemala.

This is a truly extraordinary tour. Wilson is a true expert not only on Mayan culture but on weaving the story of Spanish colonialism into the daily lives of Mayan people from the beginning up to the modern day. Many tours make you feel as if you're in a museum, but Wilson breathes life into a story that few have had the opportunity to hear. Immensely knowledgeable and dynamic guide. I had zero expectations coming in, and left feeling I had learned so much. Bring water, ask questions, and lean in. If you care about culture, architecture, or history, this refreshing tour is as good as it gets.
