Today’s guided excursion takes us to the central part of Malta, dominated by the medieval fortified city of Mdina, Malta’s former capital city. The narrow, winding streets, dating back to medieval times, lead to the imposing bastions, commanding a magnificent panorama of the island. On the way there, you will discover different styles of architecture, including Siculo-Norman palaces and other baroque buildings of great historical importance. Time stands still in this ‘Silent City’ which is a film-maker’s paradise.
Leaving Mdina through Greeks’ Gate, we stop at the early Christian catacombs in Rabat before proceeding to the cliffs at Dingli. After lunch we will visit the San Anton botanical gardens situated near the Presidential Palace, which you will be able to admire from outside. We shall also spend time at the crafts centre at Ta’ Qali. At the end of the tour, allow us to astound you with Mosta’s majestic dome, one of Europe’s largest.

The historical information she provided along with the botanical information at San Anton’s garden was very valuable. Althea made the made a very memorable one for us. I would travel with her again to learn more about Malta.

5.00We started with the meeting at the coach, whereby the pick-up from my accommodation worked out well. There we were first driven to the park, but this one was rather unspectacular. Afterwards we went to Mosta and Rabat, visiting an older church (was very nice) and the old town of Mosta (is interesting but very crowded). In addition, we were in the catacombs that you can look at. Lunch was very good. In addition, we were also at the Dingli cliffs, which were beautiful to look at. Overall, a well-planned tour with plenty of free time for your own exploration.

4.00It was a good excursion. Everything was great but we didn’t get but a glimpse of the Dingli Cliffs. Other than that it was good.
There is a lot to see, in little time, with a big crowd but you achieve it :)

5.00Jam-packed and a full day for real! It is very busy but you can meet some great people on these trips. Dingli cliffs was one of my favourites and the walk around in Mdina was nice. The guide was very knowledgeable but was also very fast. Keeping up can be a challenge in the crowd and large tour group so would often miss what she was saying. The meal with wine was okay - I don't eat pork so omelette was the other option (not sure what they have if you are vegan). The glass-blowing was also very interesting and wished I could have spent more time in the pottery shop. Overall a great experience. I went in December so the weather was very manageable. The tour guide also taught us some Maltese - so Saha (to say goodbye AKA good health).

Friendly tour guide. I was having issues locating the meeting point and the company operator helped me a lot. I would 100% recommend this tour
