Authentic local experience from shopping for ingredients while walking through the neighborhood to preparing ingredients as is done in a household to sitting on the balcony overlooking the metro Medellin valley eating what was made, this adventure felt like being part of the community, even if only for a short time. Most instruction and conversation was in Spanish though there were two assistants that were available with fluent English skills to translate. Great to have the opportunity to share with others (locals experiencing this adventure and some who had lived elsewhere) all in a convivial atmosphere. This is a new venture with a small group - with the quality of the experience and super attitude of the hosts this will surely blossom into a not to miss experience. Two thumbs up!!!

We had a super nice experience here. It felt very local and authentic. Making the food was very hands-on, and the empanadas were delicious. The place also has a great view, which made everything even better. We had a great time and definitely recommend it.

We had the best experience with Rico Y Ya! Jheams was an exceptional host. We had the chance to discover life in a local barrio, then went on to make delicious empanadas with an amazing view of Medellín! I would definitely recommend!

Jheams was so welcoming and we had a great time making empanadas! We had a quick walk to the market to pick up some yuca and then he showed us how to make the Cartagena style empanadas. They were delicious and the view from his place was lovely!
