This is a very rich tour exploring the medieval areas of Transylvania. You’ll have the chance to discover the history behind three of the most visited and appreciated fortified churches and citadels in the heart of Romania. The first stop is at Prejmer, which seems to be more of a fortified small town, rather than just a fortified church. You’ll have the chance to admire a unique courtyard and let yourself impressed by the creativity of it’s medieval touches.
The second stop is the Fortified Church in Harman. Back then, this church was more than just a place people would go to pray in. It was also used as a refuge for people in need.
Next is the Rasnov Citadel. It’s a very impressive Citadel build on top of a hill. It’s main purpose used to be of defense.
We end the day with a lovely walk around the most well-known ski resort in Romania: Poiana Brasov. This is a place worth visiting no matter the season. It’s also a chance for you to get to know a different part of Romania.

5.00This was a great day trip, we got to see many wonderful places for a reasonable price. We loved the citadel, fortified churches and the stories behind them. The walk at the end of the trip in Poiana Brasov was very pleasant and relaxing. Thumbs up! :)
