  • Challenging zip line adventure in Costa Rica.

This Mega Zipline adventure was challenging and exciting. It was a long haul to arrive at the site where the zip line starts. It was a rainy day, so it made walking on the trail even more challenging. The trail was very slippery. Fortunately, the trail had ropes for safety against slipping and having a fall. The zip line experience was excellent. The waterfalls were beautiful. The rappelling was exciting. The guides were very experienced and patient with us. They explained step by step how to grab the zip line, how to hold the harness, when to brake, when to accelerate to be able to reach the far end. In the event we did not reach the far end, they showed us how to push on the zip line to reach the far end. This trip was booked through Viator. The process was very efficient. The information on the website and voucher was well documented. We had a great experience. If you want a challenging and exciting experience, I recommend it.

  • Awesome zipline over waterfalls!

I saw this zipline tour advertised 17 years ago and vowed to come back one day to do it! It was very worth it! Key info to know before you go: 1. You must be physically fit. Between ziplines, there are steep and slippery trails to navigate and some ziplines are back to back (not much rest between). Also, the zipline is self braking so you must have the strength in your dominant arm to pull down on the cable to slow yourself down. 2. The swimming hole (~12 ft deep) looked fun but was partway through the course and none of us felt like taking our gear off to swim and then be wet for the rest of the course. They DID allow us to jump in the hotel pool when we got back though! 3. One of the ziplines was in fact rappelling (going down backwards). This was a bit daunting for 1st timers but the guides were excellent at helping folks of all skills. 4. When you arrive at the hotel, it is a small operation. Use the bathroom before you get your gear on. There will be no bathroom again until you return to hotel. 5. The truck ride to the course is super bumpy. 6. Definitely need bug spray. 7. Check Google maps before you book. I knew in advance this was 3 hrs from my hotel but others seemed caught off guard. 8. If you want something more upscale or commercial, try Diamante Eco Adventure Park. I did both. This was great due to the waterfalls. 9. Bring a go pro camera if you have it! 10. There is also one suspension bridge to navigate
