What To Expect

GETTING TO KALAMPAKA: Departing from Athens, the train is by far the most pleasant way to get to Kalambaka. From Athens or Thessaloniki, you can take either a train or a bus up to Meteora. The trains servicing the northern part of Greece leave from the “Larissa station” in Athens, while the buses serving that part of the country leave from Terminal B, at Liossion Street. Also, we can schedule to pick you up from Athens or Thessaloniki with a minibus. (Contact us for more information) In case you arrive in Kalambaka by train, we can pick you up from the train station and start the tour. Joanna was a great guide! She provides a lot of information, is very accommodating, and has a great personality that allows you to connect with her. She provided us great recommendations for things to do and was very kind to take exceptional pictures at picture perfect opportunities. The driver gave us water halfway through the trip which was excellent.

Joanna and Nicos were absolutely amazing! The tour was excellent, and Joanna was very knowledgeable. We had a beautiful day, and I couldn't have asked for more. Our guide was very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make sure that everyone was comfortable. The monasteries are just incredible and the whole area is so beautiful and peaceful. More than words can describe and pictures do not do justice too.
