Excellent morning trip with knowledgable guide and experienced driver. Plenty of opportunities for photos on the many stops, plus enough time at 3 of the 6 monasteries to take a leisurely look around and more photos of the nearby monasteries in this stunning place. We had a car but joining this trip allowed us a stress-free first morning in the area and the chance to check out where we wanted to return to independently. Even in low season some of the monasteries were very busy and car parking could have proved tricky, so we were glad to be scooped up from our hotel and then dropped off/picked up close to the entrances. The 4 hours was used very well, lots was packed In but never felt rushed. Thank you.

The plus: no need to look for a place to park near each site which already seemed hard when it is far from my peak season, comfortable minibus and reasonable driving (no nausea despite the turns!) Audio-guide in French with some explanations but no more interesting than a paper guide in fact The least: guide was not francophone as advertised, no additional info really given Contrary to what they announce impossible we have seen several groups accompanied by guide or pope who explains in monasteries up to churches

Great 4h tour to the Meteora monasteries, punctual departure, completely stress-free. Beautiful info from Giannis on the bus on the tour (English), there is also an audio guide for this info which can be accessed on your own mobile phone via QR code (we listened to it relaxed afterwards) 3 monasteries visited, enough time to see everything independently. Beautiful viewpoints with short photo top. Have enjoyed the tourers very much, you don't need to worry about parking or opening hours. Can highly recommend the tour with Giannis and the professional driver.

Our tour started at 8:40 with pick-up at our hotel. I was surprised to see that the minibus used for the tour was actually a larger vehicle with 20 - 30 seats. It filled up during the next 40 minutes, when the bus cruised through narrow streets in downtown Kalabaka, no easy feat for the careful driver who had to navigate narrow roads and many obstacles. In my opinion, meeting up at a central place would have been much more efficient (yet the tour operators allow you to be picked up at your hotel). After all passengers were collected, the tour started to get exciting. Our guide had numerous explanations, background information, and historical data on the sites we were going to visit. She was very good and clear with her explanations and she also clearly explained when we were expected to be back at the bus after each stop. This is when it was clear that this was the way to visit the monasteries rather than just driving up with your own car (which you can). We had between 40 and 50 minutes at each of the visited monasteries. This was not enough time to closely peruse the museums offered in each monastery, but enough time to get a good impression and take photos. I would opt for a smaller group next time, if I had the choice.

A great way to see the Monasteries with so much information provided by Maria that we would not know trying to do this on our own.

Was a very pleasant tour. The guide and driver were excellent, knowledgable. I was lucky that it was also a very nice day. There were a lot of steps to climb up and down and on a hot day very perspiring. They do tell you to wear appropriate clothing, however the monasteries seem to provide appropriate covering if you are not. The only problems were with the long queues at the entrance which combined with having only 1 hr at each (which would most possibly be enough if you took away the time queuing and climbing up and down the steps), and the amount time taken to climb the steps could leave too little time to properly look around for those that are less fit, also there was the problem of other tour groups with guides getting in the way and blocking the way through. The tour was only to sightsee all the monasteries and actually visit 3of them. There was the extra charge of €5 entrance to each monastery too which was made clear on the Booking. When you search on the internet it seems that the only way you can see the monasteries is by going on one of these bus tours which is not true as you can go to each one by yourself. But, it is still good to use this guide service for a first visit and I think is good value at €25, especially with being picked up at Hotel/Campsite and then offered the option on the return to being dropped off from where you were picked up or the town centre.

The transport was good and avoided us having to park our car. The guide was interesting in the bus. The guide does not go into the monasteries with you. The monasteries are very crowded with many huge buses. Their guides blocked the entrances to parts of the monasteries as they told their story. Not the fault of our tour. We did not go into the last monastery as they are all very similar and cost 5 Euro per person to enter.
