Meteora Scramble Tour! A scrambling experience, on one of the tallest rocks of Meteora!
We hike safely at the ancient path paved on the edge of the cliffs and enjoy the astonishing views between the rocks. The path we follow was used in the middle ages by the monks who lived in the ruined small monastery of Twelve Apostles. The rock of Great Saint also used to be part of the ancient fortifications of the town below thousands of years ago.

A scramble and via ferrata unforgettable adventure! Our Meteora Scramble Tour program starts by meeting with your guide under the church of “Kimisis Theotokou”. Our guide will give you, your personal equipment and teach you how to use it. We will then start hiking on a short uphill path between the rocks. When we reach the famous “needle rock” our guide will fix the ropes and our scramble experience begins. Climbing towards the top we meet ferratas, paths carved inside the rock and chimney type climbing parts! Final stop is the holy cross of Hagia with a large balcony to enjoy a view between the Thessalian plateau, the mountains of Pindos and the giant pinnacles of Meteora!

We absolutely loved this amazing experience with our teens(15 and 17). The guides Vasilis(Billy) and Yorbas (George) were exceptional. They were experienced, patient, informative, and spoke excellent English. They took the time to answer all of our questions and gave local recommendations for food and climbing. The scramble was not too difficult for the least athletic of our party, and the views at the top were stunning. It was amazing to walk(climb) the path the ancient inhabitants traversed. Highly recommend this experience for people not afraid of heights, hiking, and light climbing.

This was one of the best activities that our family of four (with kids upper teens / lower twenties) did during our trip to Greece. My only warning is that it is physically challenging. My husband has had several knee surgeries and could not make it all the way up. It is definitely a cardiovascular workout, but the tour guides were very helpful and patient and the sights are amazing.

Very beautiful tour, lasts three hours, requires leg strength and balance. Everything very safe. The guide Kostas excellent. I recommend taking gloves. If you're afraid of heights, don't look down 😀

This is a great way to experience climbing for any level. The instructors were very patient coaching everyone through the obstacles. Everything was very safe and it was a memorable challenge for my kids in the best way - it was hard but they did it!

A fun experience scrambling around the rocks. A little tiring but not that difficult. Safety precautions in place.

George Dapas was a great guide: the two-of-us (and our parents) always felt safe as we moved up to magic places on the rocks of Meteora. So thrilling that these places formed part of the rich historical background of Greece with Romans, christian priests and many more. George made history live-up again and shared some humorous light onto the soul of the descendants of Agamemnon, Odysseus and Aristoteles. Great experience - a highlight of our trip!

What an experience ! Another way to discover the Meteora ! A must of for hikers who want to push the limits to the first steps of climbing in an extraordinary scenery! Starting with a beautiful hike, climbing in a very safe way assisted and guided by very nice and experienced climbers, ending the climb with a magnificent view ! We did it in the evening and it was really beautiful! And .. you do not need to be experienced to do this tour. Enjoy !
