Ricky Espinoza was my guide for a private tour and he made the morning very enjoyable and educational. Initially, I thought I made a mistake signing up for something that was “very touristy” but Ricky did a great job giving me a taste of Quito history and culture without being boring. I found the Middle of the World fascinating! The guide at the museum was friendly, knowledgeable and made the experience very enjoyable. The cable car gave great views but definitely beware of the altitude. I did find my breathing labored. It was nice to just have a 4 hour tour on my first day in Quito.

Good experience to be at the equator with your feet on either of equator, one foot on the northern hemisphere and the other on the southern hemisphere

This was a wonderful tour that hit all the highlights! My guide, Christian, was great from start to finish - he provided a ton of interesting information about not just the Middle of the World but also Quito and Ecuador more generally. As this was my first stop in Ecuador, it was great to get all this info! We were able to see both Mitad del Mundo and Inciñan, which were two different takes on the “true” equator line (one traditionally derived, the other using GPS technology). I really enjoyed getting both takes, and both spots were places that I learned a lot! It was very cloudy on the day of travel, so since I was the only person signed up for the tour, Christian offered a chance to skip the cable car (since I wouldn’t have been able to see anything but fog) and instead visit El Panecillo, the large statue of the Virgin Mary that you can see from almost everywhere in Quito. This was a great decision - I hadn’t planned to visit, but Christian made it interesting and I’m so glad we went! Overall I would recommend this trip to anyone interested in learning more about Quito, Ecuador, or just looking for an intro to the city.

Nice trip and excellent guide. We saw a bear eating on the cable ride up. The middle of the world was interesting with nice activities. Recommend for sure.

Our guide did not take us to the Mitad del Mundo as described in the tour description but rather to the Museó Solar Inti Ñan.

I was fortunate to have Pamela as my tour guide. She is very knowledgeable about Quito and the surrounding areas. With Pamela as my guide and expert driver, I visited the Middle of the World Monument (Mitad del Mundo). There is a small museum of indigenous history within the monument, that Pamela was familiar with and added additional information. After this, we ascended by cable car, approximately 13,000 feet above sea level for spectacular views of Quito! What a pleasant time I had with Pamela! I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation!

Christian was a fabulous guide on our Middle of the World adventure!! For anyone interested in learning more about the equatorial history of Ecuador, or just really wanna see some cool spots for the Gram, I would highly recommend this tour. Being surrounded by mountains, and yet seeing them from a bird's eye view is nothing short of spectacular.

This tour was great! Pamela was a fantastic guide and wanted us to have the best experience possible. She was kind and the knowledge she shared was extensive, we learned a lot. Had fun too! I would highly recommend this tour if you want to experience the Mitad del Mundo as well as seeing the city of Quito from the cool vantage point of the cable car. Grateful we found this tour!
