If you intend to visit Milan, a must is undoubtedly Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper. The great work of the Tuscan genius, preserved in the refectory next to the Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie, is one of the most studied and imitated masterpieces in the world, but also one of the most mysterious and discussed. Follow us on this guided tour, discovering the history and secrets behind the Last Supper and the splendid Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie. During our guided tour of the Upper Room you will understand how every stroke, every detail, every brushstroke, every expression and gesture of the figures represented tells those “motions of the soul” of which Leonardo became the first inventor. And the Last Supper is sublimated from perfect painting to emotional narration.

It was amazing to see the Da Vinci painting, and Gianluca was a great guide. It’s the best option in case you haven’t bought your tickets in advance.

  • When it's just too hard to understand a knowledgable tour guide's English

Heavily accented English made it very hard to understand commentary - we lost a lot of value from this tour. And we're multilingual and usually have no problems understanding non native speakers. A shame

Tickets sell out fast and months in advance. This is a great plan B. Very informative tour prior to entry. Just so you know there is a time limit of 15 minutes in front of the painting

Sara was an excellent guide. I’m very glad it was a small group. We toured the church and when we went in the room with the Last Supper, Sara recommended that we wait and look at the painting on the back wall first, so that most of the others in the room had moved on already. It is quite amazing to see this in person. I’m very glad we took this tour.
