If you intend to visit Milan, a must is undoubtedly Leonardo DA Vinci’s Last Supper. The great work of the Tuscan genius, preserved in the refectory next to the Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie, is one of the most studied and imitated masterpieces in the world, but also one of the most mysterious and discussed. Follow us on this guided tour, discovering the history and secrets behind the Last Supper and the splendid Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie. During our guided tour of the Upper Room you will understand how every stroke, every detail, every brushstroke, every expression and gesture of the figures represented tells those “motions of the soul” of which Leonardo became the first inventor. And the Last Supper is a perfect DA painting and emotional narration.

The small group (four people) private tour (skip the line access) with guide Sylva was an incredible experience. Nothing really prepares you for seeing the real thing. The huge advantage of the guide is (as always) to get insights you just can't get otherwise) - for example, the mural on the opposite wall (The Crucifixion, painted by Giovanni Donato da Montorfano) is well worth a discussion (painted at the same time - so the artists would have been around each other), and also the troubling history of the preservation of the Last Supper (not just the wars, but the actual usage of the hall where it is located, over the last 500 odd years). It's amazing the work still exists today (and a credit to the Milanese for their recognition of the work being something special generation after generation).

100%. DO NOT BOOK THIS. Our tour was to start at 3.30pm. We arrived at 3.10pm and have been waiting in the rain (there is no shelter anywhere) for our tour guide who has not shown up.

We managed to get tickets from Booking.com as the tickets from all the other websites had sold out. We had a guide who was extremely knowledgeable which enriched our tour. It was quite surreal to see the painting up close and it was good that we were allowed to take photos as I didn’t think you could. The tour took around forty five minutes or so. An amazing opportunity to see such an incredible iconic painting.

When I was last in Milan, The Last Supper was unavailable. It was worth every penny to see this Da Vinci masterpiece. Our guide was so good...informative and detail.oriented. it is definitely an emotionally responsive experience. It is absolutely incredible how they were able to bring this masterpiece back to it's original state as best possible. The Basilica is beautiful. A very interesting little tour. Highly recommend.

The guide was excellent. However the meetup instructions were not. Meet by the green fountain was not sufficient. Because we disembarked on the opposite side of the building we first saw a different green fountain surrounded by frogs! Rather obvious, so we thought. But alas it was not. Fast forward to a flurry of emails about where the guide is and all ends well.
