If you intend to visit Milan, a must is undoubtedly Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper. The great work of the Tuscan genius, preserved in the refectory next to the Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie, is one of the most studied and imitated masterpieces in the world, but also one of the most mysterious and discussed. Follow us on this guided tour, discovering the history and secrets behind the Last Supper and the splendid Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie. During our guided tour of the Upper Room you will understand how every stroke, every detail, every brushstroke, every expression and gesture of the figures represented tells those “motions of the soul” of which Leonardo became the first inventor. And the Last Supper is sublimated from perfect painting to emotional narration.

Guided tour a little long explanations but it is an experience not to be missed. 15 min to admire and photograph it. Going to the evening around 6pm allows to be the last group. After 7pm you might have the chance to attend a conventual mass at Santa Maria. Do it discreetly. Several museums of Leonardo da Vinci, interesting to visit one, before going there. Better to take a taxi near the Duomo on the fountain square to go there. Count 20€ maximum For smaller budgets bus or tram

I already researched and knew about the artwork before taking the tour. The tour was nice to get some additional information. If you didn’t know a lot about it I advance, I think the tour would have been really great!

The personal touch of a small group made for a wonderful immersive experience for a very significant and special occasion- Our wonderful guide Sylva provided a considered and interesting insight and background understanding of the Last Supper - a very moving experience - it was just the best tour

Unless you have lots of interest and time, I honestly question whether this is the way to spend half a day (practically speaking). The restoration is a subjective rendering of the 17% of the painting that actually survived. Up to you and enjoy your day regardless of your decision.

Sylva was a fantastic tour guide. I went in with little knowledge about the history of this painting and left with a much better understanding of the significance of not only the painting but the church itself. I would highly recommend booking this tour, I will truly never forget it!

Maria was a pleasure to be with and her overview of both the Last Supper and the adjoining church was extremely informative. She is obviously very knowledgeable about the subject matter and, in a short amount of time was able to convey a lot of information.
