If you intend to visit Milan, a must is undoubtedly Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper. The great work of the Tuscan genius, preserved in the refectory next to the Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie, is one of the most studied and imitated masterpieces in the world, but also one of the most mysterious and discussed. Follow us on this guided tour, discovering the history and secrets behind the Last Supper and the splendid Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie. During our guided tour of the Upper Room you will understand how every stroke, every detail, every brushstroke, every expression and gesture of the figures represented tells those “motions of the soul” of which Leonardo became the first inventor. And the Last Supper is sublimated from perfect painting to emotional narration.

Seeing the Last Supper in person was on my bucket list. Gianluca was a great guide. He gave us very interesting background information on the work of art and on Leonardo and Milan to give context to his masterpiece. Our family enjoyed it. It was one of the most memorable experiences of our vacation.

Great experience to see one of the most famous paintings in the world which is actually fading away. Good tour guide, annoying some other people who kept talking and did not tell the kids to shut up. But there is nothing the guide can do about it. Just keep away from those uneducated people and concentrate on the exploration provided with the hear aid.

Sylva is an excellent guide. She is very knowledgeable and engaging, and her voice is soothing. We found all of the information she provided enhanced our visit greatly - not just about the Last Supper but also about the history and architecture of the church. Her practical tips about what you can carry into the site, using the restroom before leaving, etc were all helpful too. Only slight negative was how much the tour cost for four of us. But all in all, would recommend highly.

Silva, our great guide, expertly explained the art in the Last Supper, Leonardo Da Vinci’s work, and the history of the structure in which it is housed. It was helpful to learn of her family’s experiences in Florence related to the painting and the description of the restorations. Her descriptions captivated our group.

This is a brief but special experience. Sylva, my guide, was terrific! I recommend viewing the last supper from up close as well as from the back of the room to gain more perspectives.
