• Wonderful Rainy Milford Tour

  Really excellent tour. Only four of us on the minibus which was very comfortable. The water bottles and muffin snacks were an unexpected and added bonus. It was raining pretty much all day but Adrian our driver/guide really made the most of it, stopping at some spectacular locations. Reserved seats on boats great and lunch was good as well. Milford was of course wonderful in the rain with all the waterfalls.Highly recommend Luxe Tours

  This was one of the best experiences I have had in all of NZ. Our guide (Tommy) did a perfect job in breaking the drive to Milford sound in bite-size portions of information, found beautiful stops along the way and made it an unforgettable Tour. One of us is coeliac and we got great gluten-free food both en route and aboard the ship, that the organizers had taken care of beforehand. Milford Sound itself is remarkably beautiful but the guide and small group really made this exceptional.

  We were so lucky that we chose Luxe tours, for our Milford Sound experience. Our guide, Tommy was friendly, cheerful, and a wealth of information about so many things. His driving skills helped us stay ahead of the crowds. The tour was well organized, and went like clockwork. We enjoyed the roomy, comfortable seats, the tasty muffins, and the included water bottles. (The gluten free muffin was outstanding). We loved the frequent photo stops, and frequent restroom breaks, which helped break up the lengthy trip. We appreciated the speaker system in the van, which helped everyone to hear clearly. Most previous tours we have taken, it was hard to hear the guide. The reserved tables on the boat were nice also. Thank you Luxe tours, and especially Tommy for the wonderful experience! We wish you had tours in Auckland too. Craig & Debbie

  Booked direct with Luxe Tours, everything they say about themselves is spot on. Bus ✅ journey ✅ view stops ✅ boat ✅ Super lovely guide/driver Aidrian who kept us both amused and informed on our journey. Would highly recommend this company.

  We loved our day trip with Luxe Tours and would highly recommend it to anyone considering a trip to Milford Sound from Queenstown. Our driver/guide for the day was Adrian and he looked after us extremely well from start to finish. Pick up was less than 5 minutes walk away and Adrian was already waiting for us in the luxurious mini bus. The vehicle was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Each passenger was provided with a cloth to wipe any steamy windows and a water bottle for the journey. There was plenty of leg room and the seats felt very spacious. Adrian was informative and entertaining as well as being very polite and friendly. We had a beautiful day for the trip and it was magical driving along through the most stunning scenery as the sun rose. Adrian stopped at several view points, for bathroom breaks and drinks/snacks as desired. We particularly liked The Blak Shak in Te Anau for delicious coffee and pastries. The journey flew by which was surprising as I had thought it might drag- it certainly didn’t! On arriving at the ferry port Adrian saw us safely onto the boat to our designated seats and we set off on our 2 hour journey along Milford Sound. It was beautiful, everything we had hoped for and more. The scenery was dramatic and the weather stayed dry. We had pre ordered lunch which was served as soon as we left port and it was tasty and plentiful- pie, salad, soft drink and a dessert. There was a cafe on board if you hadn’t pre ordered. Whilst we had designated seats we were free to go onto any deck to marvel at the passing scenery. On arrival back at the port Adrian was waiting for us and the mini bus was waiting close by. Some of our group had taken the option to fly back to Queenstown but most of our group were driving back. Again I imagined that the drive would be a little long and tedious but it flew by. The scenery was incredible and we enjoyed being able to admire it rather than having to do the driving. On our return to Queenstown Adrian asked each of us what was our favourite part of the day or what had surprised us the most. I said I had expected to enjoy Milford Sound (which I did) but hadn’t anticipated the journey there and back being such an incredible part of the day. It really was a case of “it’s not about the destination, it’s the journey to get there” All in all a very memorable day and I would highly recommend Luxe Travel.

  Excellent communication, excellent spacious van, a long drive with lots of stops which breaks up the trip nicely, the guide was excellent and knew allot of interesting information about the area, the bus trip was great, the boat did not feel overcrowded, and lunch was good. Overall a very luxe experience and I would highly recommend this company. We saw albatross, penguin and a seal. We visited the splash zone of one of the waterfalls which was very enjoyable.

  Luxe Tours QT to Milford Sound Just back from an excellent tour with Tommy , our guide. His commentary was really informative and he was very much guided by what we wanted from the tour 👏👏👏 We were lucky to have a small group of 7, we all got on great! Even though it was cloudy , it had rained which meant loads and loads of temporary waterfalls on Milford Sound, as well as the 2 permanent ones.
