I'm so glad I booked this tour and this company. I also used them for train tickets through their site, and another tour that I will review. All communication was great, and our trip went off without a hitch. They are also much more reasonably priced compared to similar excursions. Can you visit the warriors on your own? Sure. But It's a large complex and it's more stressful than I would have thought before. Jacky took great care of our group and spoke excellent English as well as knowing a lot of great information. They use these nifty bluetooth earbuds so everyone can hear, which is especially important at a place like this. He told us on a busy day there are +500K visitors, our day was "light" with maybe 200K, and it was slammed (in my comfort experience). Entering into the first pit you can hardly move, but thankfully Jacky knows where to go and got us all situated into better positions to take great photos and take it all in. It really is a marvel to see but is too easy to get awestruck at the entry and get lost in the people, so having someone who knows the area to keep you grounded is a must. We spent a good amount of time at each area and I feel like we saw everything we hoped to. Lunch is at the facility and is a buffet style of local dishes, it was decent. The pagoda and city wall are just bonuses, really the main point was to see the warriors. Our jet-lag kept us from wanting to climb the pagoda, one guest opted to. The wall offers a neat view of the city and of course you can rent bikes to go farther. We opted to walk and head down to some craft breweries that we had found the day before for a nice cold pint after an amazing day. I had misunderstood at booking that the Muslim quarter was simply the drop-off point (unless you want delivered to your hotel), and had hoped for a little guidance on where to go or what things to eat, but we were planning to spend the next day in that area already so we turned in the headphones and had a drink.

Had a great one-day tour of Xi’an with Carol. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made everything really easy and enjoyable. We visited the Terracotta Warriors, Big Goose Pagoda, and the City Wall — all incredible. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for a smooth and well-organised tour.

Céline was our guide for the tour and we couldn’t recommend her highly enough. Her knowledge of the Emperor of the warriors was extraordinary. There wasn’t a question she wasn’t able to answer. She was enthusiastic and very engaging, we learnt an awful lot from her. Also importantly, she knew the site well and when certain areas would be really busy so was able to plan the tour so we didn’t get stuck behind huge crowds. One of our bucket list days certainly exceeded our expectations.

Roger has an excellent knowledge of Xi‘an, the province and all of China. The leadership of the Terracotta Army was outstanding, alone we would have lost our disorientation in the crowd as a group of four. He also explained the “Wild Goose Pagoda” and the city wall to our complete satisfaction. I can fully recommend this tour.
