Excellent day trip! Highly recommended! Interesting, impressive and well organised. Carol, the guide, is incredible knowledgeable, keeps it fluent and interesting and answeres any questions about China‘s / Xi‘an‘s history, present life, economy, etc. On top of her guide she is very helpful in assisting with individual transports. I had an amazing day. Also a shout-out to our wonderful bus driver!

Carol and Mr. Li were great! They got us to each place safely. Carol was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of interesting information about each place we visited and the history of the city Xian itself. I would highly recommend the tour to someone visiting the city for the first time and/ or with limited time.

Having seen a traveling exhibit in the US several years ago, I knew a visit to Xi’an would be worth every penny and it was. Roger was kind and knowledgeable and excited to answer all of our questions. He was helpful in getting us the best photos of our family and we especially enjoyed hearing his personal stories about his upcoming marriage and what that entails in China. Congratulations, Roger! He showed us additional videos on his iPad, including one of a “mischievous” German who dressed up like a terracotta warrior and was carried off. Look it up! My children (ages 12, 14, 16 & 18) enjoyed the tour as well. The only thing I missed doing again from the traveling exhibit was a movie that explained more about the emperor and showed what they believe the burial tomb looks like. It would be helpful for everyone to watch it before you arrive. I’ll watch it again when I return home. Other info: The gift shop workers employ the hard sell, so be prepared. I paid $88 for a small 6” kneeling archer statue and fear that was too much. In addition, normally I hate buffets, but this one was surprisingly good. There was something for everyone. Roger helped us book tickets to the Tang Dynasty show, which we all loved. Thanks, Roger! We were also surprised to learn that the pits just recently got a/c - bless those who visited before 2025. Xi’an is hot even in June! Bring water, a fan, and an umbrella for shade.

Carol was an outstanding guide on our organized tour to the Terracotta Army in Xi’an. Knowledgeable, warm, and full of passion for the history, she made the whole visit come alive. The site itself is breathtaking, thousands of unique warriors beautifully preserved. Well organized and highly recommended.

A guided tour is the only way to go. The terracotta worriers was incredible, make sure you do it out of holiday season, we did & it was packed. Definitely an eye opener, the tour was a little rushed but still worth the experience. A once in a life time experience. Only 1000 of the 7000 worriers have been excavated, of these only 1 fully intact soldier, the rest put back together like a jig saw puzzle.

Lily was an excellent guide. Very informative and keep the group moving a track but was flexible as well to allow for free time. The terracotta warrior experience was the highlight of course but we also enjoyed the city wall and wild goose pagoda. Lunch was also very good.
