We start our journey from Tirana directly to Shkoder. Enjoy amazing views and the fascinating history of the Rozafa Fortress. Stop for a coffee break in the small town of Shiroke well – known by locals for its quietness and natural beauty.
Theth
Transfer to Theth, where on route you will stop in the mountain village of Boge and Thore Pass surrounded by mountains. Enjoy lunch with one of the best views there is in the North. Get settled in the guesthouse in Theth and have a relaxing afternoon and a walking guide of the village where a four century old tower used as reconciliation tower and the 100 – year – old, well-preserved church are the highlights, before a rustic dinner with a glass or two of Raki. (For hiking aficionados there is the option of an early morning departure to Theth and going on a hike to one of the many trails in Theth like Valbona Pass, Peja Pass, Denhell)

Spend a day exploring Theth National Park on a leasure hike. Marvel at the view and sound of Grunas waterfall and Canyon. Enjoy a refreshing bath and a picnic lunch at the Natural pools and the Blue Eye of Theth, after hiking through stunning scenery. Enjoy Valbona’s gorgeous setting, on a wide plain surrounded by towering mountain peaks in the morning. Explore the village of Kukaj or enjoy your morning in Valbone Valley before transferring to Fierze Dam to hop on a boat for a scenic ride passing by rocky mountains and vivid green hills. With its countryside settings in the village of Fishte and its Albanian Slow Food excellence, you will spend a couple of hours visiting the surrounding and tasting the best Albanian food there is. Transfer to Tirana in the afternoon.

5.00I went on a private tour with my fiancé, and it was amazing. I’m originally from Albania, but I had never visited the north. I had heard a lot of good things, but this exceeded my expectations. A big part of it was our tour guide, Flori. We spent 4 days together, and not only was her very knowledgeable, but also a great guy. He made sure to not rush us if we wanted to take photos etc, and helped navigate our way around with the guest houses and transportation. We didn’t have to worry about anything, he took care of it all. All the guest houses were great too, and all the owners were very nice. We had traditional breakfast and dinner every day, and the sleeping arrangements were great, even though we were definitely in remote areas. We were surrounded by sheep and goats, in the middle of the mountains, with strong WiFi :-) I def recommend this if you like hiking. Highlights of the trip were the waterfall, blue eye, and the breathtaking views that were endless.
