Rico was the perfect guide to learn about his own village ! We saw the making of coconut alcohol, local traditions, ancestors respects and the way their village is organized while visiting it. It is very impressive, as you are still in Mombasa but the atmosphere is very different than there. Finishing by the sanctuary is perfect as we experienced the protection of the animals inside the city while learning about their difficulties. For next time think about bringing money to buy few things from the village and the sanctuary. All in all Rico is a very great guide, hakouna matata !

This is such an amazing opportunity to learn about the culture and community near Mombasa. Our kids particularly loved visiting a school and giving out candy. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone.
