Discover the historical and landscape beauties of Palermo, cycling on its enchanting shores with a tour that has as protagonists the History and the Sea. We will cross the Borgo dell'Arenella, a fishing village that was born in the 19th century around the Tonnara Florio and that, today, houses the two marinas of Arenella and Acquasanta. During our tour, we will see the Grand Hotel Villa Igiea, built by the Florios, one of the Italian families of industrial tradition and absolute protagonist in Palermo during the Belle Époque Period. The tour continues in the direction of Mondello, with its characteristic seaside village and its enchanting beach. We will resume our ride through the Real Park of the Favorita, a park of about 400 hectares, created in 1799, which at the time was mainly his private hunting reserve, and the Palazzina Cinese, the ancient royal residence of the Borbons. We finally come back to Palermo city centre, where our bike excursion will end.

The park extends from the shade of Monte Pellegrino to the neighbourhood of Pallavicino. Two long streets (named after Hercules and Diana) cross in parallel the park, connecting the centre of Palermo to the seaside borough of Mondello. The streets are interwoven thanks to a third avenue named after Pomona. Within (or near) the park are located several places of interest like the royal residence called Palazzina Cinese (with the attached Museo Etnografico Siciliano Giuseppe Pitrè), the precious Villa Niscemi, the Neoclassical Fountain of Hercules, the Renzo Barbera Stadium and other sport facilities. 30 minutes from Palermo and the rhinestones and glitter a small corner of sea smells very local with little tourist infrastructure but oh so charming with the families of Palermo. I will definitely go back.

Sergio took me out for a 40km ride from the shop in the heart in Palermo to the upscale Mondello beach town and then the climb up Monte Pellegrino the back way with no cars. An exhilarating, fun ride, on one of the great bikes Sicicla has in stock. Already looking forward to my next trip to Sicily and to Sicicla for a longer ride.

Sergio is an exquisite person who with extreme sensitivity for adults and children allows you to appreciate destinations by bicycle that would be difficult to travel on foot or by car. Congratulations for the athletic preparation given that during the entire journey he practically never stopped instructing us on history, habits and customs. Highly recommended tour for everyone! The Chinese building, the Favorita park and finally Mondello are a sight not to be missed.

Our guide, Sergio, was terrific in every way! My husband in an avid cyclist but I am not and overestimated my ability for this ride. Sergio was patient and very helpful and managed to find me an electric bike for the return trip which made all the difference. Thank you for everything, Sergio!

Fantastic experience. A beautiful ride in the nature reserve of the Monte Pellegrino park with a visit to La Favorita and arrival in Mondello. Sergio was a wonderful guide: he made us experience a journey through time through curious anecdotes and the history of this beautiful city. Absolutely worth doing

Great cycling tour to Mondelo via the Parco della Favorita. Lots of history explained to us by a very friendly and knowledgeable guide, Sergio. The tour was loads of fun for us as we are cyclists but non cyclists would also enjoy this experience. Palermo and Mondelo are both very interesting towns and to link both together by bike on a circular route made the tour exciting from start to finish . All up we did 30km over 5 hours with stops for lunch and a fantastic tour of the Kings hunting lodge . We highly recommend Sergio, his company and this tour. We have just finished a wonderful bike tour with Sergio who guided us from Palermo to Mondello passing through the Parco della Favorita. Sergio is a very nice, interesting and attentive guide. He told us the history of Palermo through the use of very user friendly radios with headsets. I absolutely recommend it!

Beautiful first visit to Palermo , the experience of the bike-tour with a guide made it really special thanks to the professionalism and sympathy of our guide Sergio who made us appreciate in a serene and fun way everything we could in three days. Traveling with this mode I find it a thing to do for everyone even for the laziest , e-bikes allow you to tackle the routes in a smooth and sustainable way .
