We had the best time making soba noodles. It was such a fun, hands-on experience, and the instructor made it easy to follow along. We learned about the ingredients, rolled and cut the dough ourselves, and then got to enjoy our own fresh soba at the end. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for something authentic and memorable.

Extremely fun and informative experience. It was so great to be able to make the noodles and then enjoy the food. We took the subway from Odori station to the end of the Tozai Line, orange line, to the last stop Miyanosawa station. Exit number 7. Turn right and walk down a couple blocks, there is a huge Drug Store on the corner where you turn left, and it is the shops on the left right behind the drug store.

My husband and I had a fantastic private soba-making and dining experience at Mondo, with Chef Taku explaining the brief history and steps of soba-making. Chef Taku was able to help us understand what to do perfectly well despite us having very limited grasp of the Japanese language. Overall, the experience was very enjoyable and we highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys soba.

This was a wonderful experience! Taku and his partner were friendly, knowledgeable and patient teaching us the art of preparing handmade soba noodles. They shared the history and finer details of this ancient and popular Japanese staple. To finish off the interactive experience, we enjoyed eating our freshly made noodles with delicious tempura. Highly recommended!
