Gunung Leuser National Park
This adventurous overnight trek in Gunung Leuser National Park is the most popular option to discover and really experience the tropical rainforest of North Sumatra. During this two-day trek you go deeper into the jungle, with great chances of seeing orangutans and many other wild animals up-close in their natural habitat. On the first day we will leave around 9am and walk through the jungle for 6-7 hours, with many breaks to have food/drinks and fruit. There will be many opportunities to take wonderful pictures of the wildlife and nature we will see. We will arrive around 15:00 - 16:00 to our camp to enjoy te beautiful surroundings or to swim. Dinner will be prepared for you by our private chef at the camp around 18:30 -19:00. After dinner we have jungle tea and everyone can choose to spend the night sharing stories together or playing games!

Gunung Leuser National Park
After waking up to the beautiful jungle sounds (monkeys, birds), we will make you some tea or coffee with biscuits. We will enjoy a powerful breakfast for the second day of jungle trekking where we will explore the waterfalls and rivers. After having a lunch and fruit, we will step onto the traditional jungle "taxi" and let yourself being taken down by rafting down the Bohorok river. You will eventually return back in Bukit Lawang and dropped off in front of your accomodation!

5.00A very nice tour done in jungle in Bukit Lawang and the people were very enthusiastic and caring for us. It was super beautiful and really a bucket list activity. You do need to be in good basic condition.

5.00Almost too much good food to eat. We saw many monkeys, birds, and orangutans, of course. They said we were lucky but there were so many that I’m sure every group will see some. Our guides, Bimbo, Dadi, and Sukhi, were very good people—friendly, interesting, and dedicated to the experience we wanted to have.

5.00When you think of Indonesia, Bali usually comes to mind... but this experience must be lived. A very professional organization, very prepared guides, and especially a jungle that offers a different trekking. Being able to see an orangutan a few feet away is great. In addition to many other animals in their natural habitat. Highly recommended

5.00We had a great trip both Ian and Amara, they were both amazing guides and friendly knowledgeable people about not just the jungle but Indonesia as a whole! There is so much to see and do not worry you will see lots of monkeys!The food was great and there was loads of it you will never go hungry definitely recommend!!!!

5.00It was an excellent experience! We had the chance to see different primal utangs courtesy of the experience of our guide. The trekking itself is quite tough, but is absolutely worth it. The food is catered for and very extensive. Rafting back to Bukit Lawang is a very nice experience! The people in Bukit Lawang are very friendly! We had a great experience thanks to the good organization of Monkey Business Tours.
