Claudio Secchi – Sardinia Slow Experience What a fantastic experience! Yesterday we had an unforgettable tour with Claudio through the mountain landscape around Siniscola. The views were breathtaking and Claudio knew how to tell about the local plant species and the stories behind the landscape with passion and knowledge. His love for nature and Sardinian culture is contagious and makes the tour truly special. At the top we enjoyed a delicious picnic with local products. These were pure and tasteful. As icing on the cake, we were allowed to taste his homemade liqueurs afterwards. A warm, personal ending to a wonderful day. This tour is an absolute must for those who want to experience the real Sardinia; Nature, Culture and Welcoming in one. And that sunset? Magic. 🌄 Our thanks are great!

The tour was fantastic! I've been to Mount Albo a few times before, but never at sunset – and it was absolutely stunning. What truly fascinated me were the wonderful explanations about the local medicinal plants and their various uses. Learning about their healing properties gave me a whole new appreciation for the landscape. My personal highlight, though, was discovering the Pompia – such a unique and special fruit!

Claudio is a kind, knowledgeable and careful guide who shared his passion for Sardinia and for the area with us. We learned about flora and fauna as we hiked to a summit where we enjoyed an amazing sunset and a picnic. Claudio also helped us find other local guides who could adapt their hikes to our level. I highly recommend this activity.

We met our guides Claudio and Beata and headed by car about 20mins drive up the mountain road where we saw beautiful views and the wild cows that thrive in the area. We stopped at a look out point and discussed the area a little bit and got used to the height then travelled 2 mins back down the road to the trail. What began as a gentle climb for about 10 mins and then became more stair like as we accessed the rocky part of the mountain for the next 30 mins before reaching the plateau and then the peak. We stopped frequently and our guides showed us the natural plants and explained their uses. At the top we took lots of photos and enjoyed a lovely prepared meal of local cheeses, meats and jams. We stayed up through the sunset and then climbed back down reaching the car as it finally got dark. We are from a very flat and hot area so we don’t get to hike up mountains ever and no experience. We are active but not fit and we found the climb very easy and manageable We were so excited to have accomplished something new and the views were amazing, hiking with Claudio and Beata felt like going for a walk with friends - we cannot recommend enough. If you are nervous or unsure they will make sure to take care of your needs you have a great time.

Wow, it was such a cool trip! I’d never thought it would even be possible to climb the steep side of the mountain in front of us to the top, but Claudio and his wife managed to get us -untrained newbie’s/Dutchies- safe and sound (and patiently) to the amazing sunset view on top, treating and rewarding us with a wonderful picknick with local cheeses, local whine, local bread, homemade snacks and spreads, etc. On the way up they told us interesting facts about the life and history on the mountain and the surroundings, which made even our whole trip to Sardegna more worth (also: Claudio likes to sing, even in Dutch! Making us feel extra special). So nice to experience all this together with our extraordinary group of friends! The way down was under a beautiful starlit sky, with headlights on. And just before heading ‘home’, we cheered together with a shot of Mirto, the tasteful island liquor. During the walk, Claudio took pictures, which we received later. Making our memories complete. I highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting Sardegna!
