We had the best time with Laura cycling around the Old Town. She is very knowledgeable and knows the history of the country and the city well. She gave us lots of tips about what to see and where to find special items. It was especially lovely to have the opportunity to eat lunch (which she provided) outdoors and chat with her. AND we had a lot of laughs throughout our time with her. A great day !!!

We met Valentina near the cruise terminal early on a Saturday morning in February. She led us to the bike store, pointing our the Art Deco buildings we passed. Our bikes were manuals but fine for the road conditions in Montevideo. We set off around the historic centre looking at the architecture, parks and culture. After that we went down and along the Rambla seafront for a cooler ride passing the beaches and waterfront. After suggesting a stop for a drink in a cafe, we cycled on till we found a shady park for a light picnic then returned to the start. Cycling in Montevideo is easy and on the Saturday we visited it was especially quiet. We would like to thank Valentina because she added so much more to our brief stay. She had very good language skills and knowledge of the city and went out of her way to make our tour enjoyable.

This was a fantastic way to get a feel for Montevideo. Lara, our guide, was extremely friendly and clearly knows what she is talking about. She took us to all the must-see sights and informed us about their background. She provided us with a great little picnic including the best empanadas ever and her own baked cake (also delicious - not sure she does that every tour!). We also drank mate as the Uruguayans do: a great experience. The (electric) bikes were new. All making for a great tour. We can thoroughly recommend this.

This tour was a great way to explore Montevideo. Valentina was friendly and informative. Cesar did a great job fixing a flat tire quickly when one of bikes got a flat, and sharing a mate with us.

We had a wonderful day with Valentina and Cecil. We had a great ride and only 2 incidents. One a flat tire and a new bike was delivered quickly and a chain came off and immediately put back on. I think it was a fluke because the bikes are newer. We stopped for our picnic and there was so much food. The empanadas were delicious, along with the homemade apple bread and other desserts. I would recommend the e-bike as when we were riding along the river it was windy and the e-bike personally helped me a lot. I would highly recommend this tour. It was a lot of fun.

Valentina was a very friendly and informative guide. Cesar helped out when one of the bikes got a flat tire and when my chain fell off, and also prepared the mate. The bike tour was a great way to explore Montevideo. Valentina also offered up some other activities for us to visit in the neighborhood of our hotel.

Great way to see the old town and learn the history of the country. Ride through the modern areas on the way to a beautiful ride on La Rambla along the beach. Since all the signage at the monuments and at the mausoleum of Jose Artigas is in Spanish, It would have been more informative if our guide had interpreted that informative for our group that did not speak Spanish. Also, as an experienced cyclist, better safety instructions for biking in a group through city streets should have been given for those who are not as familiar. Thank you for introducing us to the Mate drink custom!
