I went on this tour with my husband and a group of friends, and everyone had a wonderful experience! It was truly one of our favorite moments in Montevideo. From the moment Lara greeted us in the morning with beautifully packaged snacks and the bikes ready to go, we knew we were in great hands. We had a lovely picnic, and we really enjoyed learning about the city’s history and architecture at a high level. The balance was perfect, just enough culture and exploration to really get to know Montevideo. Lara was fun to be with and made our tour feel like we were hanging out with a friend, so everyone was relaxed and had a great time. I promise this won’t be like any cookie-cutter tour you’ve done before. Highly recommended!

I have been on many bike tours in my travels and this one was about the best. Our guide Valentina was knowledgeable, charming and full of energy for her city and country. She also supplied refreshing water and sandwiches for the group and local custom mate! Montevideo is an almost perfect place for a bike trip as it is flat and much of the journey hugs the waterfront along the city’s fabulous Rambla. I am in my 60s and others on the trip were in their 20s. I mention this to point out that this trip is for everyone; all ages, tourists, cruisers, athletes and those who just like to experience a place they visit close up. To All: Go for it:

Had an amazing tour in both Spanish and English with Valentina. She's an excellent guide and the little picnic break on the rambla was perfect. The bike was also in excellent condition. Highly recommend.

Engels This was our first time visiting Montevideo via a cruise, and this tour is definitely recommended if you visit Montevideo! The meeting point is less than a 10-minute walk from the cruise terminal. Valentina spoke fluent English and we saw the nicest places and ate delicious local delicacies. Also received a lot of information! Highly recommended to discover Montevideo in a short time! The contact with Lara in advance was also very nice! TIP: if you really want to surprise them, bring them a typical Dutch delicacy, “ drop “ or stroopwafels ;)

I had a fantastic bike tour with Valentina as my guide! She was very friendly, spoke excellent English, and had a great deal of knowledge about the area. I really appreciated how she listened and responded thoughtfully to my questions and interests. The e-bike was also of excellent quality and made the ride super comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to explore the region in a fun and informative way!

What a delightful time we had biking through Montevideo with Lara and her excellent team! Covering the history of the nation from Pre-columbian times to the present day, we learned about how Uruguay rose to be the progressive and economically stable nation it finds itself today. The monuments and architecture of the old town gave a perfect background for the history lessons. The ride down the Rambla at beachside, offered views of the River and lovely beaches adorned with colorful murals and beachside parks. We then stopped for lunch at a central park filled with fountains, benches and tables created from tile mosaic. In this relaxing location, we shared stories and learned about each other's cultures. The whole experience culminated in a shared drink of Mate, a local favorite.

We did a tour with Lara and it was certainly the best thing about our trip. From the very beginning, his passion for the city is rating: it combines history, culture and super entertaining local anecdotes. The bike tour was amazing, a different and fun way to get to know Montevideo, feeling part of the city. We learned a lot and had a lot of fun. 100% recommend Lara tours to anyone who wants to discover the city in a different, local and very special way!!!🤩

Went out with Lara. Fantastic bike ride. Relaxed and yet seen a lot of the city. In this way, we have, in a short time, gotten to know the old town a bit. Lara has a lot of relevant info available.
