What To Expect

Abadia de Montserrat

We'll pick you up at 8:00 am in front of Olivia Plaza Hotel in Barcelona to arrive to Montserrat at early morning and avoid all the hussle and long queues. We'll head straight to Montserrat in semi-private and comfortable transportation with a small group, approximately an hour drive away. On the way, you'll admire Montserrat mountains, while getting close, you will enjoy how roads become tighter and how greener and fresher it gets. Once at the top, your guide will take you on a walking tour through the monastery explaining the geological formation of the mountain and the history of the virgin (Black Madonna). We'll visit the Basilica where you can attend a mass and enjoy the beautiful interior design, and see the unique chapels accompanied by your guide. Please, note that we will reserve tickets for you, and we will collect the ticket price entrance upon tour check-in. Price: 6€

You will have free time to take a coffe in one of the Cafeterias or the Monserrat Restaurant or walk around the Basilica, to admire the marvelous view. Or you can just sit, relax and listen to birds chirps and remember how time passes by with the Basilica's chimes.

Amazing tour with a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. This is the perfect tour to see the Montserrat. We arrived before the crowds and learned many great facts and information about the history of the area. The ride to Montserrat was quick and filled with great conversations as were learned about Barcelona! We also learned many tips and places to visit while in Barcelona. This is a must tour for everyone and its only half the day.

Took this tour the day in Barcelona and it was an amazing stsrt to our vacation.. Marco picked us up on time and we chatted the hour it took us to get us the the top. This half day was the perfect way to explore the monestsrt and area surrounding. AND by the time we left it was getting so crowded. Great guide of the area with a enough time to visit the church and museum Highly recommend as you get the to visit and then have the rest of the day to you explore Barcelona

We went to see Montserrat Cathedral and had spent a wonderful day. The tour guides have responded specifically to our wishes and have also told us many exciting things about the villages we just drove through on the way there. We were thrilled and will certainly use the services again. Fuimos a visitar la catedral de Montserrat y pasamos un día maravilloso. Los guías turísticos se adaptaron especialmente a nuestros deseos y nos contaron muchas cosas interesantes sobre los pueblos que atravesamos en el camino. The perfect experience. Our tour guide Sophie was incredibly knowledgeable and toured us at our own pace. We were met and picked up promptly and once we got to our location we were able to take a little break for coffee and pastries. Since it is a early experience we had not had our morning coffee. Monserrat is must see the views are gorgeous the architecture and history are something to be taken in. The museum and mini hike up for majestic views are worth it. There was local farmers market set up near the entry and exit and we were able to try cheeses from the area and treats prior to leaving. Amazing way to start the morning and allow for more adventure in your afternoon.

Carlos our guide was amazing. We were lucky and had him all to ourselves. He was full of knowledge and we enjoyed the casual stroll and learning about the history and architecture. I would definitely recommend this tour and if you are lucky Carlos will be your guide.

Montserrat Skip-the -Hussle was just as it sounded. We (four fiends from Australia) were met as informed in Barcelona and driven to Montserrat in a private van. We arrived by 9am well before the crowds and avoided any queuing. Carlos was so informative and read our group needs brilliantly. Montserrat is awesome and well worth a visit. Carlos then organised a lunch place for us back in Barcelona. He went out of his way to make our day special. Spread the word that Carlos is a guide we will thoroughly recommend.
