During this 4 hour Moorea shore excursion, you’ll discover the history, flora and the natural beauty of Moorea. Explore the island by 4WD while your guide shares their passion for the island through an animated journey with beautiful views, stories, information, all in a relaxed and smiling environment. You will visit Cook's Bay and Opunohu Bay, you will go around the pineapple fields, and stop to taste all the products made in the distillery Moorea. You will travel to the islands interior with a stop at the Belvedere viewpoint. Your gude will meet you at the pier to coincide with your ship's arrival. You must advise your ship name at the time of booking so that the exact pickup time will be advised on confirmation. 5.00The driver was super nice and the smaller group was fantastic. Our driver went the opposite way of the other groups so we felt like we were alone on our tour.
Ship missed the port of Moorea due to a ship fire.

1.00Our ship had a fire onboard at sea and was required to miss the port of call at Moorea Island. At 3:00 PM our captain announced we would not sail to Moorea on the next day, so I immediately called Mario to cancel our tour. He had not yet received the news that our HAL ship was not coming to Moorea. He said I was cancelled and would receive a refund and thank you for the information about the ship not sailing to Moorea. At 10:52 PM Mario sent out an email (I do not have internet onboard the ship and received the email when I got home) to say "there is the possibility of being able to take the Aremiti Ferry" to Moorea, find his jeeps at the Moorea dock, tour, and be taken back to the ferry. The roundtrip ferry would have added $40 to each of our tour expenses. I had told Mario I was canceling and am still waiting to receive my refund of $140.

4.00Overall good trip lady driver / guide sorry forgotten name was excellent and a very good driver the trip up magic mountain to the lookout point with a second view stop on the way up was great as was next viewing stop at Belvedere - - Factory stop was bit of a bun fight and self walk around factory was ok shame no treating of pineapples going on just filling containers - But overall well worth the trip for the scenery alone

5.00We really liked this tour! The drive up Magic Mountain was really the standout part of the tour. What a crazy road! What a ride! What a view from the top!! Our guide also had some educational materials to explain how the islands we formed. Super interesting and an added bonus I was not expecting. The pineapple plantation was fascinating, and though I did love the Belvedere overlook, it did not compare to Magic Mountain, which you can ONLY get to in a 4x4. I'm glad we booked this tour!
