Chiba Shrine
Chiba Shrine has a 1,000-year history and is dedicated to the spirit of the North Star, the Big Dipper. The shrine is visited by worshippers from all over Japan as well as Chiba citizens. The shrine is also a god of the direction of the Big Dipper, so many people come to seek the divine power to avert or cancel disasters related to the direction of the Big Dipper, such as daily travel, driving, moving house and construction, as well as to turn around or improve their luck. Why not visit such a shrine? Chiba City Museum of Art
The Sayado Hall on the ground floor of the Chiba City Museum of Art was built 100 years ago as the Kawasaki Bank. It was later owned by Chiba City in 1971. It is one of the few surviving historical buildings in Chiba City and the only one with a Neo-Renaissance style. The pillars in the outer wall sections, the doors and the mosaics on the floor are distinctive features, and it is also a photographic spot for taking elegant pictures! The exhibition room on the fifth floor displays works by artists associated with Chiba City and those works can be seen here.
