9am daily your cruise departs Strahan Your first point of interest is Hells Gates, the narrow-channel entrance from the wild Southern Ocean to Macquarie Harbour. Continue along the harbour to see aquaculture pens stocked with thousands of ocean trout and Atlantic salmon. Your first stop off the boat is Sarah Island, a one hour guided tour on the island conveys a keen appreciation of the harsh conditions at what was Tasmania's first and perhaps most notorious penal settlement. Step back on-board and while enjoying your lunch you will cruise slowly along the majestic Gordon River and rediscover serenity while gliding deep into the ancient rainforest. Disembark at Heritage Landing for a stroll along the boardwalk through the Unesco listed Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park and see the hushed, lichen-covered rainforest and one of its oldest inhabitants a 2000-year-old Huon Pine tree. Board once more and sit back and relax while you make your journey back to Strahan.

We booked the upper deck windows. Happy to pay extra for these seats/food. Loved every minute of the cruise, even the rainy part on the way back. Staff were excellent. Great commentary from not only the captain, but the on board short videos playing. The stop at Sarah Island was only one of the highlights. We have dietary restrictions and these were very easily catered for both for our morningtea & lunch. Thank you to all involved

This Wonderful, peaceful and informative cruise was just bliss.. This cruise was relaxing. I got so many amazing photos to remember it by and share with my friends and family. The crew were fantastic, well dressed and helpful. The lunch was delicious and ample, and well presented.

We booked seats in the middle of the top deck. When we realised how big the boat was we upgraded to a window seat. But the when on board we were told we were free to move around the boat so we needn't have bothered paying the extra. Boat was comfortable, lunch was excellent and there was plenty of it. Getting on and off could be a little tricky for some but the staff were ready to help. There was a continuous stream of information broadcast during the trip but I struggled to hear some of it. The rainforest walk was interesting and even though the boat was only partly filled, the number of people for a single guide meant a lot of time waiting for people to catch up between stops. Similarly the Sarah Island tour and the Sawmill were frustrating as again i could not hear properly and eventually left the group to guide myself via the information boards. The snippets I heard were interesting so I stayed with the group longer than I should have. For me it would be better if the information was on self guide sheets with the expert guide floating around to answer any questions.

Will never be able to see this pristine wilderness if not for the cruise. We had a very calm day and the water was so calm that we were able to see the reflection of the coastal forest. The lunch was very good, delicious and healthy
