Experience the Mostraumen Fjord Cruise on board our small, intimate vessels—each carrying fewer than 100 guests for a relaxed, spacious and personal journey. Departing from central Bergen, we sail past historic landmarks before heading through the Cityfjord, Salhusfjord and Osterfjord, where steep mountains and tranquil coves create a constantly shifting landscape. The adventure reaches its highlight in the narrow Mostraumen Channel, where the captain carefully navigates between towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls. With daily departures year-round, this is the most intimate and up-close fjord experience from Bergen—perfect for travelers seeking comfort, atmosphere and unforgettable views.

This tour will go in rain or shine. In the winter months, it can happen that the sea freezes in the innermost part of the fjord where there is a lot of fresh water mixed with the sea water, brackish water. If there is so much ice that there is no safe passage for boats, the captain will then choose an alternative route in this area. This is beyond our control and it does not give grounds for claiming a refund for the trip. We will always do our best to give our customers great experiences, even on days when the forces of nature are not easy to handle.

What To Expect

Travelers will pass the iconic Nordhordland Bridge, a striking combination of suspension bridge and floating bridge spanning the fjord north of Bergen. Known for its unique engineering and dramatic setting, the bridge is a recognizable landmark and an impressive sight when entering the fjord landscape.

Relaxing cruise thru fjord

5.00A very relaxing cruise through the fjord to see the wonderful landscapes of Bergen. Even in the rain, you could see the small villages and expansive bridges. The prizes at the end were the waterfalls and houses in the small village of Mo before we returned to port.

5.00What an amazing adventure. We saw some beautiful sites along the fjords. We also got a good taste of Norway’s weather. It was cold and snowing….but it made the trip more fun. I was with my husband and and friends, and we loved the 4 hour trip.

5.00It was a great cruise even though it was rainy, cold, and windy. The boat wasn't packed which made it easy to move in and out. The boat was kept very warm so you could go out, get pictures, see stuff, and come back in when you got too cold. We packed sandwiches and some drinks, but there was a concession stand on the boat with hot drinks and snacks. Mostraumen Fjord itself was gorgeous! Once you get past the more crowded areas, it was very quiet and eerie with the low clouds. Loved it!

5.00We had a great day with this Fjord tour. This your appeared to go deeper inside of the nearby fjords (vs other options). The weather was mostly cold and rainy but there were plenty of indoor seats for everyone. Upon entering the boat, everything was very clean. Getting up to go outside was easy, and I did not feel unstable. The tour was nicely narrated. A staff member came through regularly to clam windows for optimal viewing. Seeing the fjords was a key reason to visit Bergen and do not let a weather forecast deter this attraction. I would suggest arriving at least 30 minutes prior to ensure a good seat.

5.00What a fabulous trip. We were so lucky to have a clear day with blue skies and made the most of the stunning views. The host John was just lovely and he came and sat with me for a while chatting about the locality. I was also lucky enough to be invited up to the captains deck and even had a go at steering the ship! Book this trip, it was brilliant!

5.00Absolutely recommended! Approximately 4 hours trip to the Norwegian fjords. There is the possibility to stay inside the vehicle or in the exterior on the "second floor", depending on the temperatures and your sensitivity to cold. I really appreciated the fact that in the most beautiful viewpoints the vehicle slowed down so as to give time to those who wanted to go outside to take photos and videos of the magnificent landscape. I would only recommend cleaning the panoramic windows better, as dirt can ruin your view.
