Franz Josef Glacier

Fly up from our heli-pad up to Franz Josef Glacier where you will land up on the neve of the glacier. Stand on the pristine snow and take pictures of the huge ice expanse before heading towards Fox Glacier and Aoraki / Mount Cook for the rest of your helicopter journey.

Fly over the Glaciers into the Mackenzie Country and head towards New Zealand's highest peak, Aoraki / Mount Cook and take up the changing landscapes and snow topped peaks around this amazing area before heading back over towards Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers.

We had an amazing experience flying over the glacier in the parks then landed on the glacier. Had time to take pictures videos and walk around. It was an awesome experience. Highly recommend.

Glacier Helicopters gave us an experience we will never forget! The staff and our pilot Sam welcomed us so warmly and kept us up to date with the weather conditions and fortunately we were able to take our amazing flight over the Fox Glacier and then landing on a mountain! Photos will never do justice for what you will experience. We cannot wait to go back and experience another flight again. Thank you to everyone at Glacier Helicopters for such a memorable flight experience!

Words are not sufficient to describe the experience of flying above the mountains. To see the peak of mount cook at twelve thousand feet, with five miles at sea level to the tasmanian sea is amazing! This is probably the best helicopter flight I have ever taken and well worth the admittedly not inconsiderable charge. If you can afford it, take it.

This was my first time in a helicopter. We had a beautiful day for flying. The pilot was knowledgeable in his commentary. We had a booking snafu, but they made it right and got us up the mountain.

This is a once in a lifetime experience- we did the 40 min tour and flew around Mt Cook and Mt Tasman. Also the Fox, Tasman and Franz Josef glaciers. The views were breathtaking. Our pilot, Richard was very skilled friendly and informative. The staff back at the base were also very friendly, efficient and accommodating. I would highly recommend this tour and this company
