  It was a unique experience, if you like nature the spectacular views and know a place of walking between snow train and boat this is your thing.   We booked our Switzerland tour with Riccardi Travel through Vacafoodandfun.com and had the pleasure of spending two unforgettable days in Lucerne. Roberto, the owner, and his colleague Theo were our guides—together on the first day and Roberto alone on the second. Both were personable, knowledgeable, and highly experienced, making our time in Lucerne truly exceptional. Day 1 – E-Bike Adventure Our group of eight experienced something entirely new: a guided e-bike tour with two-person seats in front and a driver/peddler. We began in the city before venturing into the countryside, where we visited a local farm and enjoyed freshly made wine, cheese, sausage, and burgers for lunch. Although it rained on the return trip, the atmosphere remained upbeat, and the weather actually added to the adventure—an experience our group will fondly remember for years to come. Day 2 – Lucerne and Mount Rigi Our second day was a full seven-hour excursion that included walking tours of Lucerne, a scenic boat ride, and a combination of trains, hiking, and cable cars leading up to Mount Rigi. The hike offered stunning scenery despite the clouds, and a charming countryside restaurant along the way provided an authentic Swiss experience, complete with grazing goats and cows nearby. By the time we reached the summit, the skies cleared to reveal a breathtaking view of the Swiss Alps—a perfect ending to the day. Overall Experience Riccardi Travel is a class act. Roberto not only guided us expertly but also took the time to answer our many questions and connect with our group on a personal level. His genuine passion for creating memorable experiences truly set this tour apart.   Awesome tour and our guide Marc was one of the best we have encountered. Extremely knowledgeable of the Mounts (lives on one) and history. Excellent recommendation for lunch with some local delights off the beaten path. Highly recommend the tour.

  Roberto was our tour guide and he made the experience of visiting Mount Pilatus and walking around town magical for our family, which included our two teen boys. He was very kind and enthusiastic to show us everything and we had the most excellent time. We learned so much about the city and it as very useful for when we ventured out on our own later. Roberto treated us like old friends and we are grateful to have met him.   Roberto made our visit to Lucerne an experience we’ll never forget. He spent the entire day with us, ensuring every detail was seamless and stress-free. From meeting us at our hotel to guiding us on a scenic boat ride and a cogwheel train to the top of Mt. Rigi, every moment was thoughtfully planned. He even helped us carry our stroller and took the time to play with our 2-year-old daughter in the snow, which made her day! After descending the mountain by gondola, Roberto led us through Lucerne’s beautiful Old Town, sharing its history and taking us to his favorite local spots. His kindness and attention to detail, including bringing a backpack filled with toys and treats for our daughter, truly went above and beyond. If you’re looking for a private tour in Switzerland, Roberto is the best. He made our trip unforgettable, and we couldn’t recommend him more highly!

  Roberto was amazing! He took care of everything, he planned multiple custom tours to fit our active family. With his expertise and intimate knowledge of this beautiful country, he guided us effortlessly, knowing the best times, days, and routes to cover as much territory as possible.   We went on a private tour of Mount Rigi with Roberto. We enjoyed this tour a lot, thanks to our wonderful tour guide Roberto. Roberto was very professional, he always answered our calls and texts promptly prior to the tours. During the tour he took great care of us, he was kind, patient and a pleasure to be with. The boat tickets that he booked for us were first class which allowed us to sit on the upper deck to enjoy the beautiful views. We also did the e cargo bike tour with Anthony, one of Roberto's guides. We were able to go to places that huge bus tours wouldn't be able to go to and we saw breathtakingly beautiful sceneries that were truly hidden gems of Luzern. Anthony was a lot of fun to be with and we really enjoyed having him as our guide. We've been raving about this tour to friends and family and everyone that we talked to in Luzern and urged them not to miss an opportunity to enjoy this wonderful experience. We visited 6 cities on our Europe trip and Luzern is the most enjoyable and memorable city thanks to the two tours that we took with Roberto and Anthony.

  Roberto was an excellent host and guide! There is no way we would have been able to capture the experiences on our own and it was a great day with plenty of time for all we wanted to see. The only disappointment was the clouds prevented any view at the top, but we still managed to have a great time.
