In the Lares MTB enduro tour, you will have the opportunity to descend on your bike through Andean landscapes in which, we will observe the most popular camelid farms in the area, alpacas, llamas and guanacos. Enjoy the biking in the andes.
You will be able to do 2 different trails by bike, with certified cycling equipment to guarantee your safety and full suspension bicycles in Santa Cruz - hightower 2021 brand will guarantee your comfort while descending. We return to Cusco via the Sacred Valley.

What To Expect
Lares
FIRST STAGE - LARES 15.2 KM To start our adventure, a car will pick you up from your hotel around 8:00 am. We will drive towards the Sacred Valley, to the town of Calca and then head towards the Lares Valley. The drive takes approximately 2:30 hours to the top of the mountain where we will begin our descent. Once at the summit, our guide will instruct you about the route and provide you with protective gear. After the safety talk, you'll have the option to start on a sandy drop with a good incline (Freeride). If you feel confident in your technique, you can choose to ride this stage, otherwise, there's an option to take an easier section. We'll ride through terrain with high speeds and obstacles like water channels, some stair sections, and good curves, which will lead us back to the town of Calca. We'll make some detours off the vehicular track before rejoining the trail. In Calca, we'll enjoy our Box lunch and then continue with the new trail.
SECOND STAGE - ANKASMARKA 5 KM After finishing with Lares, we will head back up the same road to the archaeological site of Ankasmarka, known for its pre-Incan and Incan food containers and reservoirs. We'll ride around these containers and then descend stairs to the town of Calca. Along the way, we'll encounter fluid sections and slopes that add to the fun of your experience, plus a zone of curves that will test your biking technique. We'll reach the community of Totora and from there descend on the car track, cutting through trails until we reach the town of Calca, concluding our enduro adventure in the Lares Valley. We'll return to Cusco around 3 in the afternoon.

Always attentive and ready to make changes according to your needs, the weather or even fatigue. They adapt to all situations, even the most complex. The equipment is of very good quality. They can repair any broken bike and allow you to continue enjoying your vacation. They are also excellent tour guides, which allows you to visit Peru while having fun on the trails. If you are looking to visit Peru in a less conventional way, you will not be disappointed with Explorinka. It is not just a business, but passionate peoples. 5.00I had an amazing experience with Explorinka. We did 14 days with my brother and a group of friends and Erick was helping us create the trip that fits exactly with our skills and what we wanted to do. To say the least, the guides are lovely and sooo knowledgeable! We had a bunch of mechanicals during the trip and my god, I have never seen anyone being able to repair a wheel that well on a trail. They take care of literally everything, hooked us up with some extremely nice hotels, provided super high end bikes very well maintained and they made sure the trip was just a blast from the moment they picked us up at the airport to the last restaurant with more than a few nice surprises! So if you are looking for an awesome group of guides to go mountain biking in the jaw dropping Andes, look no further. Thanks so much to Erick, Miguel and Johan for bringing us to the best places on earth!

5.00In my case I opted for a private tour of Lares and the service offered was unbeatable, the staff came to pick me up from the hotel and return me later, at all times I was accompanied and both explanations were offered about the different sections to be made and very interesting sociocultural details, the equipment offered was of the highest quality and fully adjusted and in perfect condition, the route otherwise fantastic according to the expectations I had, certainly highly recommended this alternative experience in Cusco

5.00If you want to get away from Cusco and visit the countryside, a mountain bike tour is the way to go. You’ll visit places not accessible by car. Getting to Moray, Maras and Salineras by bike was one of my favorite experiences. Please be advised, the final stretch to Salineras requires a bit of skill because the road has loose rocks and tight turns. Erick was a great guide keeping us safe.
