What To Expect
Jvari Monastery
Our walk begins A. Pushkin, M. Lermontov, P. Tchaikovsky, A. Dumas-father, L. Tolstoy and many others. Turning off the path, you will pass through the places where the events described by Lermontov in the famous poem “Mtsyri” developed, and go up to the Jvari temple of the VI century - from here you will see an enchanting view of Mtskheta: “... where the merging noise, hugging, as if two sisters , the jets of Aragva and the Kura ... "
Mtskheta Church of the Holy Cross
Temples of Mtskheta You will visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (Pillar of Life-Giving) - the patriarchal cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox Church. Get acquainted with its history and significant events of the past. Here is the burial place of the shrines of Christianity - the tunic of Jesus Christ and the mantle of Elijah the Prophet, as well as the relics of St. Andrew the First-Called.

A meaningful and educational trip to learn some history about Georgia

5.00Joined the full day group tour in January 2026 with group size of approximately 20 people. The tour guide is patient, hospitable and knowledgeable. The visit to the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral is particularly memorable.

5.00Interesting tour, the guide told everything well, the only one, Stalin Museum got a very long time and therefore there is not enough time left for the caves, and therefore not everyone had time to explore. The café where we had lunch was delicious.

5.00We had an excellent experience on this tour. Everything was well organized, and the places we visited were truly beautiful and worth it. Special thanks to our tour guide — he was outstanding. He speaks English, Russian, and Georgian fluently, which made communication very easy. His knowledge was impressive, and he shared a lot of interesting information throughout the trip. He was also very helpful, friendly, and made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience. Honestly, he made the tour even more special.

5.00I went with friends for a day trip inTbilisi (https://www.tripadvisor.com/AttractionProductReview-g294195-d19645637-Mtskheta_Jvari_gori_uflistsikhe_history_and_panorama_group_tours-Tbilisi.html) and it was snowing hard that top of the mountain road is closed and we weren’t able to see the friendship monument and trinity church. Kate our tour guide has a ready other option for us to do and our day was not wasted. She is very accommodating and constantly checks on us . Overall we enjoyed our tour with Kate and a lot of knowledge gained from her about Georgia.

5.00Great trip we saw a little part of Georgia for a very good price. The trip was a full day and we visited interesting places worthwhile seeing. The group was just the right size. Misha our guide was amiable and knowledgeable. The only problem was that the minivan was full and i got the last seat.
