A day that I will remember forever. Very helpful and knowledgeable crew, went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. Plenty of space for to relax comfortably, endless drinks/fruit supplied and the food was good. We went snorkling in 2 areas , nothing was rushed. The dolphins !!!!! WOW !!!! They put in a wonderful performance for us ! Riding the wave of the boat flipping and turning. It was amazing .

A dhow cruise to the fjords is a ‘must-do’ when visiting Musandam. We chose Khasab Tours because of their history in the area and the many comments in guidebooks about their guides being the most knowledgeable. Adil was our guide and he and the crew took excellent care of us throughout the day. Adil was keen to explain the history of the area and happy to answer our many questions. The dolphin spotting was a huge success, both entering and leaving the fjords. There were quite a few boats at the beginning of the day searching for the dolphins and we were all thrilled at the way the bottlenose dolphins playfully swam and jumped beside our dhow. We had a special sighting just for our dhow at the end of the day - a mother and baby leapt out of the water very close to us, It was wonderful. The ever-changing geology and geography of the fjords were awe-inspiring, and it was impossible to tire of the views. The snorkelling was disappointing, though, which is completely beyond the control of the tour company. This area used to have a great reputation for snorkelling, but there is a lack of understanding of conservation, and the local fishermen have overfished and been apathetic towards the corals (discarding nets without thought of consequences). So the sightings of fish were limited and most of the coral was dead. So sad that such damage has been done to the area, and I hope that the government and community try to address this situation before it's too late (if it’s not already). The combination of the views, the warm sun and leisurely pace of travel imbued a sense of calm and relaxation, and we all disembarked refreshed and mellow.

it was great day .It was a good base for us to explore Musandam. It was also the best property in Musandam and close to a large Lulu supermarket and also a 5-minute drive from the old and new souq. thanks

Great cruise, great lunch (and great vegetarian options). Only note: the snorkeling equipment should be included it in the price instead of rented on top (around 5US): the currents in some Bays maje them will necessary to swim. One woman went swimming without them and had a hard time coming back to the boat.

We drove especially for this trip from Dubai to Musandam, but stayed three nights at Antara Musandam (see separate review). It was definitely worth it - although we were also lucky with the weather - a day later we would have been out in rain. So watch out - there is no weather guarantee. The crew consisting of two Indians and an Omani was very attentive and lived Oriental hospitality with a lot of warmth. Lunch was surprisingly good - there was even fresh grilled fish (a bit long cooked - but that didn't diminish the experience. During the trip, dolphins were seen several times. And at the snorkel stop, plenty of coral fish. A small note for all those arriving from the UAE by car: make sure to take out a separate insurance policy for Oman in advance, otherwise it will not continue at the border. German tour operators (including ADAC) are apparently not capable of this...We had everything done by the concierge Ismail at the Arabian Courtyard in Dubai. (see separate review - the man is a dream of helpfulness).
