Meet your guide at La Parguera Lajas, approximately a 2-hour drive from San Juan. From here, board a boat with a captain and head to the Bioluminescent Bay. Enjoy the views as your captain takes you to a prime location for the bioluminescent activity.
We offer an intimate, family-friendly bioluminescence experience like no other. With small group sizes, personalized service, and a peaceful, uncrowded setting, you’ll enjoy the glowing waters up close without the rush. Our expert local guides ensure a safe, fun, and educational journey—perfect for kids, couples, and curious explorers of all ages. SWIMMING IS NOT MANDATORY. While it is an option that we recommend you take advantage of, no participant is obligated to swim if they do not feel safe to do so.

1.00This tour service uses an app to book trips...the app is GetYourGuide. The app is deceptive and misleading. It lies saying this tour is "near Fajardo" when in fact it is over more than 3 hour drive each-way to get to this remote location on the southwest shore of the island. As a tourist, you simply take advertising at face value when it says "near Fajardo". By the time you map this trip and realize it's nowhere near Fajardo, it's too late to cancel the booking. Yes well called and explained that rhe booking service lied to us about the location but Joy Tours didnt care and pointed to their cancellation policy. This tour might be ok, but we never experienced it due to bad booking and false advertising from the GetYourGuide app. They received a poor review as well. Joy Tours should consider using a different app or more reputable booking service.

5.00If you're looking for a fun and unique experience, this is it! the bioluminescent water is a very magical experience.Be prepared to kick and move around. For we found if we all worked together, it really glowed. The guide is very nice and responsive.
Check the Moon phase before booking!

3.00Was told the tour was cancelled due to it being a full moon. Captain was short and curt when I spoke with him. If you are booking this tour make sure of the moon phase - else you'll be out of luck as we were.

5.00What an amazing experience! Capitán Emanuel was fabulous, got the kids (9 and 4) engaged and comfortable and was super informative. We loved swimming in the bio bay and highly recommend this experience!

5.00This experience was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. It was magical to see the water light up as you swam in it. Our tour guide, Emmanuel, was really nice and knowledgeable about the bioluminescence. It’s probably the coolest thing I have ever done in my life lol. 10/10 would recommend. My only complaint is that I wish we had gotten more time in the water!
