The guide and tour were excellent. They had all the gear we needed and a very picturesque route to hike through. I would definitely recommend this tour. Unfortunately, due to avalanche threat we couldn’t visit the temple.

Our tour guide, Kouhei, was wonderful. He spoke great English, was kind, thoughtful and full of interesting information. He brought hot drinks and snacks for us during the trip and then we all went to a beautiful soba noodle house afterwards for lunch, with beautiful views of the park. During the hike, she showed us bear claw marks on trees indicating where bears had climbed up to get berries, bear benches and lots of other interesting natural finds.
