Not only learning how to make ramen and gyoza, learn also about ingredients and Umami. We don’t make ramen noodles, gyoza wrappers and Char-Siu Pork from scratch because they take a lot more time than the class time, but the host make them with love in advance. They will be marinated with mixed soy sauce more than one day. The highlights of this class are learning about umami from making dashi broth, and making your gyoza crispier. First of all in a class, we start making ramen broth since it takes time to get full of flavorful umami soup. Then let’s move to gyoza by cutting veggies. The most fun and difficult part of making gyoza is wrapping them with wrappers! To finish your ramen, enjoy topping with tender Char-Siu Pork and soy sauce marinated half boiled eggs! We don’t use MSG. Natural umami from natural foods. The Char-Siu Pork and half boiled eggs are prepared in advance by the host.

Amazing experience, did not expect much but it has been the highlight of our trip so far. We made Ramen from scratch and pot stickers. They were delicious. Our Host was incredible and so very nice. Highly recommend this experience.

Definitely worth the experience. Miou was amazing at teaching us how to prepare and cook the Gyoza and Ramen using her provided recipes and local ingredients. Oh, and her Nagasaki custard cake was delicious.
