Our 2.5 hour tour with Hiro was informative. We got to explore places we would normally have walked past and try treats (savoury and sweet).

Polo Homemade Cooking Entonji. It contains a wealth of obanzai and a variety of sake. A relaxing izakaya where you can relax. My favorite.

Alongside with a Japanese guide, I had a great time learning about the local specialities and local history. Nagoya Endoji was a commercial intersection and its history is really useful to understand the one of the city in itself. I had a great time learning about traditionnal culture (temple, shrine, food market and handmade kimono) and experiencing some local food. The guide was speaking a perfect English, could answer all of our questions and was really nice ! Thanks for your time, it was such a complete tour.

This guided tour is a really nice chance to not only learn new things about the local area but also about Japan in general. Mayuko, the lovely guide, will give you a lot of nice information on local temples, shrines & statues and explain their significance or history. It is never too much information and always useful. She will tell you about the cultural differences compared to the western countries. However, local pubs and restaurants are also shown. In case you have been wondering about some items in the supermarkets, Mayuko can even explain all of those to you and give you a nice orientation. As for the food, there are 2 takeaway souvenirs and 2 takeaway snacks. They are really typical for Japan and super delicious. In conclusion, this tour gives you an accurate idea of what Food, religion and culture is like in Japan. Nevertheless, due to the precise and interesting annotations on specific things of that local area, you will still learn a lot - Even if you have been in Japan for quite a while already and I would recommend to everyone. 😌✌🏻

Mayukoto was our guide, she speaks very well English ( rare in Japan), she explains us a lots about japanese temples, rites, history, samurai and food during 2 hours. It was a nice moment to share with the group, she was aware to answer for any questions. she also did the translation between us and the seller we met ( kimono, traditional shoes store). So for the conclusion, i learn a lot during this turn and it was fun. I advise for anyone. Xavier

This two hour tour was amazing! For an affordable price you get a real adventure. Our guide was very knowledgeable, easy going and fun. She was very polite and answered all the questions we asked. My favorite part was going to the local grocery store. This was a great way to get familiarzed with Japanese food. Our guide was great at highlighting key products. I really enjoyed the tour and I would do it again.

I really enjoyed this guided tour as it was very cozy and I did not feel like a tourist. We took the time to explore the Endoji Shopping Street and the area around! It was so interesting and fun to discover the secrets of the district: the temples, the shops, the food, the history… Thanks to the guide who spoke English and Japanese, we could communicate and ask questions to the shop owners, who were all very happy to talk with us and did not expect us to buy anything in return. I definitely recommend this tour if you want to explore the less-explored side of Nagoya (and if you want to eat some delicious food!!)

The Tour begann in front of the Nagonoya a lovely caffee in the endoji shopping street. Mayuko our tourguide took us through the neighbourhood explaining things about japanese culture, temples, foodculture and much more. She was super friendly and i had the feeling she did know everything about the place and it's history. We visited shrines and temples, we tasted japanese food and sweets, got to know shops, such as a traditional kimono store. Through the tour i got to learn a lot about eating habbits and temple culture. Thanks for the great tour Mayuko. 10/10, would recommend!
